Mashed potatoes. Fuel tanks. Ear canals.

Just had a long day at work. Smoking Star of the East in the Trevi billiard. Revisiting this one - I was pretty excited about it last summer when I was exploring lat blends and had a greater appreciation for them than I have recently. I have decided I like them milder and oriental-forward. Yet I remembered the SotE being pretty mild tasting, despite being 50% latakia....so it sat around for a while and wanted to see if my tastes had changed, or if it really was still mild and pleasant. Yep, I'm loving it. Maybe I just like latakia better when it's warm out...idk.

Oh yeah, how do you like that? Speaking of latakia, it's about the perfect "full" latakia blend from my point of view :puffy:

Try it. Even if you aren't fond of Irish Flake, cradling other tobaccos with it is quite pleasant, if you have the time for a long slow smoke.

This evening I tried 4noggins Double Fantasy in my Brigham #224. Nice tobacco with a sort of mocha flavour. Smooth and sweet, not very strong. Quite enjoyable and a great room note (I could even detect it out on the balcony). Not something I'd smoke all the time, but so far I like it more than MacB Cherry Ambrosia. I did puff a bit too hard further down in the bowl and my tongue is now quite unhappy with me.

Just finished a bowl of GKCPC Chocolate Silk and absolutely no bite and the flavor was as described, chocolate silk. Tomorrow will be the Dunhill Early Morning.

SG FVF in a 'Dawnmist' clay churchwarden - first smoke of the day, before getting ready and leaving to go to my first-ever meeting of the Pipe Club of London, at a pub in Essex: I joined PCoL last year.
