Looks like we get a last little shot of winter. It was 82 here yesterday, this morning it's 42 with a 25mph north wind, possible frost tonight.

Waking up with SWR in a cob and coffee, watching the kitty run qualifying laps around the livingroom, dinning room, kitchen and bedroom...

If it was new work we might be trying something, but it is an old house with 3 layers of asphault and 1 layer of 5x. We just can't open it up and get it dried back in in time to avoid soaking her drywall. I have roofed in some pretty severe weather, nothing motivates like a thunderstorm.

Wasn't meant as a goad MD :), just commiserating on the travails facing the individual who makes his living out of doors. 7 years ago, I had the entire roof OFF (30X50 2 story colonial) for a complete reconstruction. Weatherman said no rain for 4 days. Liar. 4 inches fell in one afternoon. Thank God for blue tarps, only lost a 4x4 section of drywall ceiling.

yeah I am trying to transition to office work. I was an agent for a big insurance company(bum ba ba bum, bum bum bum) but it turns out I was too honest to make a good sales person. That is actually what i was told by my superiors. So every day i am looking for something to get me out of roofing and in doors.

Still smoking Cube cut in a legend.

Cold, overcast, windy and no appointments scheduled, I think I'm going to dedicate this day to pipe smoking. I just fired up the second pot of Folgers and some best brown in an old Linkman's Dublin one more bowl of this left and then I may just open something new.

Three days in a row that Suzy and Molly were fed by the missus while I got to sleep! When I sat down in my chair to start reading, they came over to look at the slacker who hasn't fed them in the mornings lately, and moved on. Well, I'm about to feed them lunch, so they'll love me again! Seriously, I must say these two girls - especially Suzy - are very affectionate and always want to be with us. And I want to smoke my rapidly depleting supply of the current Three Nuns tinned version in a 2003 smooth medium bent straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera. I did order a tin of PH Curly Cut yesterday, and according to Jpberg, it's close to the VaPer version of Three Nuns. If it isn't, he's in deeeeeeep trouble!!!!! :wedg: :D

Now to that glass of Simply Orange!
