Agreed. I always look forward to Jim's posts. He's definitely one of the good guys.

Thank you for the kind words, Morse. And to Brit Abroad and YAPPG as well. I'm typing with one hand because Suzy won't let go of my left hand. She's very clingy, and purrs more often than any cat I've ever owned. And she never complains about my smoking! I'm half way through smoking a bowl of Magnum Opus in a 1990s Peterson Captain Pete XL80 bulldog. And drinking a can of Hansen's Mandarin Lime made with pure cane sugar. I wasn't sure I'd like this soda at first, but it sure is refreshing!

It's a nice quiet night, and I only have to work a few hours more. MLB TV is broadcasting the Dodgers' feed, so I get to hear :nwor: Vin Scully for the entire game. I hope the man stays heathy and broadcasts until he's at least 100!!

I grew up with Vin Scully, all the way back to Kofax/Drysdale days!

Before I forget: anybody who can check the Dodgers game out or has a chance to watch game highlights, you must see the ugly shirts the Brewers are wearing tonight. Somebody in marketing has lost their ever loving mind! They aren't as bad as the 1980s Astros uniforms, or a few others I could name, but man, they are uggggggly!

Congrats JimInks on the milestone. I think google appreciates you as well since I've been looking up the pipes as you describe them and the search engines have gotten a pretty good workout.

Found a jar of Club Blend from last summer and am enjoying the third bowl of it in a row, this time in a medium IMP meerschaum. I jarred this rather than take an open tin back across the country with me, fortuitous to say the least since it tastes very good tonight.
Clouded over so it's pitch black outside, and there's a loon performing it's beautiful song unaccompanied in the absolute stillness.
Door is open and the screen is letting me be his audience. There's times I want to actually clap for him but the sound wouldn't work even if I did it with just one hand.

Beck's Ol' Limey Bastard in a Savinelli, Founder's Centennial IPA on the side.

Supposed to get thunderstorms, but they seem to have passed us by to the north. Weather service still shows a 90% chance, but I don't see a damn thing on the radar map, so who knows. The weather around here generally isn't all that unpredictable, but they've been having a hard time lately.
