Greetings from just west of StLouis
LTF balled and stuffed in the Pete. No sugar in my daily drinks is one thing but every now and then I've just got to have a pure unadultrated ice cold COKE!!! Like right now.
Jack Knife Plug in the BST. Only about 2/3 of a bowl, though. Stupid cold.
I quit drinking sodas about 2 years ago...aside from the coke I let myself have every few weeks
I can only go so long without one.
I have just been off sugar since Dec but in my case it was Mt. Dew. 140 cal 5 or 6 times a day. Not anymore. A coke a couple times a month takes care of the need well enough.
Some HV in a MM Ozark Hardwood equipped with a Forever stem...just perfect!
Found out I am getting a little performance based bonus next week , I am allowed to use a little for pipe smoking purchases, the rest is going in savings for use towards the wedding...hmmm, now where did I put that PAD and TAD list...
Tasty bowl of And So To Bed
Round two of sampling the new arivals: Brebbia Latakia Flake No.9, in the MM SS GD. This is nasty. Don't bother.
I didn't realize you were so close to us!
Jackknife plug in a cob
Marlin Flake in a Regal Dr.G. Does Rattray's make a bad blend?
I got to 21 open tins and baggies, including the Virginia Spice I opened yesterday. So, I received another blend in the mail today, which I'll smoke later. I also decided it was time to open an 10 month old bag of Dunbar, which I'm smoking now in my trusty 1970s Peterson System Standard 305. Coffee's brewing, too!
not that I have found yet.

The airing bowl in the background is a gift from my Little Welsh Firebrand, who suggested I use it rather than our guest dinnerware for drying out tobacco.
In my advanced age I've come to realize that an airing bowl is essential equipment for any pipe smoker. Just 10 minutes in the bowl prior to packing will put most any clump of tobacco in perfect smoking condition. A tip I learned from one of the other threads. So a big Thank You to all my friends, comrades, brothers, and sisters here on PSF!
I use a paper plate, cause I'm a cheap bashtid!
And it folds so you can pour the tobacco back into the jar without spilling.
Watching Green Lantern for the 20th time . I wish I were green Lantern even more than Captain America [ kind of ] . GL can fly and can go to other planets ... that's pretty far out
Had a bowl of Lane BCA and it was ok .. it lights and smokes well but the Lane stuff always seems alittle " thin " to me . I can see why people like it . It's been years and years since I've smoked it and it is a good Aromatic . It's very easy going . It's lighter on the PG than SP BC , which is what we traded for . Btw , MikeinMaine is a killer dude !! After the Green Lantern Movie ... I'm looking forward to a little Evan Williams Bourbon and some MB GE .
I experimented with smoking hydrated SWR today. One bowl real moist, one bowl half-way moist.
I didn't enjoy either one. This confirms what I already knew. For my tastes SWR is best dry and nearly crispy.
Rolling on towards the weekend, this was a fast week! Shine on PSF!
Trying to get into better spirits with a bowl of Squadron Leader out of the Oscar Lucite and a cup of coffee
I also just smoked some of this.....with you. I agree this cool burning, easy smoking, super smooth rich Latakia is some nasty . My jacket smells like it now, and I am disgusted.
