For some reason, Carter Hall has just been hitting the spot all day today. Another bowl in the Great Dane Spool cob.

Moved on to LTF in a straight Washington. Just got sniped on a super cheap Butz Choquin freehand. I hope one of you reprobates won it. Rub it in if you did. It looked like a good smoker.

Louisiana Red in a 1980 Stanwell 668 medium bend with a ferrule, half black sandblasted, half smooth, rough top. Haven't smoked this old reliable in a while. The ferrule was originally brightly multi-colored, but with time, has become darker and more fitting with the color of the pipe itself.

Irish Oak in a Peterson 80S. Been baking bread this afternoon. Place smells great and a little Laphroaig isn't hurting things either.

A couple of days ago I rubbed out some Penzance to dry a little and forgot about it. I would never waste it and I have been sprinkling on top of tobacco for the charring light. Just an experiment and not something I would do on purpose, but right now I am smoking Frog Morton Cellar topped in Penzance in the St. Pat Pete. Still have lots of tax returns to do, but right now they all look the same.

Telegraph Hill in a Northern Briars billiard while running errands. Windshield washer fluid is getting a workout with all this pollen; my blue car was bright yellow today.

72F 22C out still and no rain yet. Going to make good use of it and take my Pete stuffed with SPC Plum Pudding out and sit on the porch for a while.
