Newminster Superior Round Slices No.403, in the wild Honey pipe. Probably the last bowl of the day for me. Good Evening PSFers!

Thanks for the great descriptions and photos! The #2 sounds like the way to go, the Soft&Unique being a bit too soft perhaps.

We need to figure out a way to get a wider range of Dan tobaccos here in the US. The stuff we do get (e.g. Hamborger Veermaster) is top notch and sells well, so I'm wondering why importers here aren't scrambling to extend the range.

In the meantime, finishing up some Erinmore Flake in a small sandblasted Canadian.

That's one I haven't gotten around to, yet. I'll put some on my next order, I think.

That's a sweet pipe. Cutty shapes are really growing on me. I think I need another one.

Just finished up a bowl full of Boswell's Pa. Dutch Treat in my great big BST. Took a while--the bowl is 2" deep. It took most of the afternoon while tinkering outside while working on the "honey-do-list."

That happens to me too. Not sure why, but maybe the rum gets to be too much after a while. So I lay off of it for a week or so, and then it's delicious again.

Maybe this is why pipe smokers tend to migrate toward non-aromatic tobaccos. They seem to wear better over time.

I think this happens a lot, and most of us don't realize it. Even though Carter Hall wouldn't make my top 10 list, I went out to the garage this morning and noticed that an entire shelf was taken up by empty CH tubs. Excellent nic, cool smoking, fragrant, and a trouble free smoke. Just about ideal. I only wish it was as cheap and readily available as it used to be! :old:

Was busy finishing up a job, so I'm late in posting that I'm smoking Onyx in a big bowl 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian. Ice water on the side. On C-Span-3, they are running their special on President James K. Polk, which is also running live at their website.

Went for a long hike through some local trails earlier this afternoon and decided to take some Boswell's Northwoods and an MM hardwood cherry pipe. Turned out to be a really fine afternoon.

Now smoking some LNF in a Legend.
