Essence of Vermont in a MM Legend. Big pot of Illy coffee. The Cat jumps up on me, without a by your leave, and starts kneading my leg like I'm made of dough or something. I don't think the Cat is prepping me for dinner, but I have no idea what this critter is thinking.

Just finished up a bowl of FVF I loaded monday, smoked half on wednesday and found in the car a few hours ago and enjoyed smoking the dregs driving to work. I think I will call the blend Finicky Virginia Flake in future.

Nice thick stem on that one. Do you find that it makes any difference in how it smokes?

I like a little thicker stem for durability, but also because it's under 5 inches long, there's enough clay to keep my fingers from getting hot. The one in the front, in the picture is actually defective though, cause the draft hole is off center by about a 1/16th of an inch, so unfortunately, i get to keep this one..lmao
Seriously though, I've noticed no difference in smokability due to stem thickness... Just how fast the stem gets hot.

Thank you, Cat is a mystery. Essence of Vermont is an odd one. This is what 4noggins says: "A wide cut, hearty Burley with the essence of fresh Maple, blended with enough St. James Parish Perique to give it an aged sweetness with a slight hint of spiced raisins. Easy to smoke, it is the perfect all day baccy that won't assault your taste buds."
Straight out of the bag, I didn't enjoy it much but there was something interesting going on. After putting it in a jar with about a third of the jar volume being air and shaking it up every morning for a few days it started becoming a pleasant morning smoke. Not by any means an all day smoke for me, but it goes well with a cup of strong black coffee in the morning. Sometimes a second bowl when I'm out for a morning walk. The Cat's owner likes the room note of Essence of Vermont.
