Just realised that I´ve neglected to specify the stems/bites in my cob. If not otherwise stated they are all standard/ex factory/as delivered.

I was going to ask you if you had a Pinochle game at the center today.

I slept in late today. I dragged myself out of bed(seems to be a common occurrence here lately) and poured a big mug of hot, black coffee. I packed the Diplomat with SWR. I'm puffing on it while enjoying the company of a good buddy.

I don't put much (ok, hardly any) stock in the reviews on TR. Granted there are a few that can be trusted, like those posted by members of this forum. But, I developed the impression that a lot of those "reviews" are just an effort to see one's name posted and might in reality be re-writes of what they have read/heard rather than based on actual experience. That's just my opinion and everyone is entitled to -- um -- several.

If you like Borkum Riff, fine. Enjoy. After all you're smoking for your pleasure.

I wonder if it's too late to get that package back from the post office. :beck:

In most of the negative reviews there are complaints about the tobacco reviewed burning too hot and giving tounge bite. This is, I think, a dead give away.

I've noticed this as well. In fact, with just about any review of a product, most negative reviews are from someone who just doesn't know what they're doing and won't seek the proper advice on how to improve their skill.

I'll be sure to post a pic of me wearing them when they get here. How'd you find out my size? :laff:

True. Of course, we're veering off the rails of the "What Are You Smoking?" thread. I think there was a thread a while back where there were suggestions on how to best read TR with tips how to sort out those to trust based on similar tastes.

About time for my mid-morning break and a bowl -- Marlin Flake in an Invicta Pipes Rhodesian. :bing:

( to get those jaw muscles strong like Popeye )

Up earlier than I wanted to be, but Suzy and Molly were happy about it because it meant they ate chicken and cheese that much earlier. I guess it wasn't enough for Molly, because she's chasing a flying bug for dessert. I'm smoking Dunbar in a medium bend 1983 Ascorti New Dear KS. Simply Orange is my drink though I considered hot tea. Took the path of least resistance.

Serious change of pace for me, I'm smoking Peretti's Ebony (thanks Dbear!) in a cob. I don't normally even allow aros in my house but this stuff is great. The snork is like fresh baked cinnamon buns. Definitely a nice after lunch smoke. The room note is nuts, too. The boss lady won't be expecting this smell when she comes home and sees me on the porch. Definitely a crowd pleaser.

Some OGS in a DGE nose warmer. First time trying this blend, don't quite know how I feel about it yet, it's definitely smooth though.
