Finished lunch, sitting out here watching the rain and smoking some McB Va No. 1 in the Savinelli 320 Trevi.

More SWR in the Diplomat. I've started drinking iced sweet tea to wash it down. Impatiently waiting for the pizza delivery guy. I'm pretty famished.

Thanks to Ruffinogold, I'm smoking Edgeworth Ready Rubbed in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09). I'm thinking about what to have for lunch and cleaning a few pipes in the meantime. The sun finally came out, so I guess Stormy's taking a nap or visiting my fellow PSFers. Molly must like the first idea because she's sleeping on my foot.

Walkabout was brief due to the humidity and Levi called it after 2 go arounds, smoked the Fisherman's Pipe that belonged to South African pipe maker Jean di Toit (Pietenpauw Pipes) with the craggy billiard bowl and bamboo shank and the latest version of Dunhill's Elizabethan Mixture which is definitely finicky as to the flavor on what bowl shape it's in, aging nicely though. Currently enjoying a double double Cuban espresso!

I agree with you about the new DE. I find it smokes better in a big bowl pipe. It's still not as good as the Murray's version, but I think it needs room to perform better.

More of that Irish Oak, now in a Peterson Dracula 03. Tried a little of the fresher Irish Oak and that from the older jar is a sweeter and fuller smoke. Might just be smoking this all day. 19C(66F)H42%

Dan, everything I've read about this Ebony says that it's a definite mild as far as Nic goes, but it's got me pretty laid back. Did you notice any kick to it? I've normally got an insane tolerance to nicotine.

I think i'm looking at a fairly old tin of Irish Oak, here. It's a profile of a guy sitting under a big tree smoking. There isn't a date on it that I can tell.

Classic Burley Kake in a Bullitt Proof, with the last of the Maxwell House. Finished up in the shop and need to stop by the Post Office on the way to work. Glad it's Thursday!

Yea, it's pretty good stuff. I normally wouldn't touch an aro, but I like it. I keep catching myself exhaling then trying to sniff it :byg:

Did he send you any Midnight? That stuff is equally awsome and you can taste the perique in it a little. I do get a little nic from it.

I also have found it to be much better in a larger bowl. And I found it needs a slightly firmer pack or it burns too quick and hot.

This could be interesting - the variance in nicotine reactions. No, none of the Peretti blends had me noticing any nicotine except the London Flake, which nearly gave me the Wobbly Bobs the first couple of bowls I smoked. But whaddya bet you'll smoke it and have no nic reaction at all? :msty:

I've always thought that was weird. I can smoke KK and Irish flake before breakfast but this sweet smelling aro has me melting into my chair :beyes:

Loading up the last of the sample of Peretti Midnight YAPPG sent me (thank you, sir!) in the Falcon. But I'm not sad because it was one of the blends I immediately bought more of. (How smart of me!) :bing:
