Well, you can't really follow an act like Strang, so I'm winding down with a simple bowl of Larry's Blend in the Kaywoodie PSF POY 2013.

The D-Backs and Phillies are still playing, tied 7-7 in the 17th. Longest game in both teams' history. I'm half way through Fieldmaster in a 1949 medium bend Dunhill Shell. This is the last of this tin I got from Sutliff to review. I sure enjoyed it. It's a really good moderate English with some burley. Sure beats drinking Mixture 79 from a Yellow tea pot!! :poke: :xd:

Happy birthday, Hofnar!!! No matter what DBear sez, you're still a kid. I can say that because I'm younger than you are. DBear's so old:old:, he rode with God in a little red wagon when they were kids! :poke:

The D-Backs beat the Phillies 12-7 in 18 innings. The Phillies ran out of pitchers and had to use two position players to pitch in the 18th. I don't believe I've ever seen that in a major league game before. Well, back to old-time radio shows. I must learn what the Great Gildersleeve is up to in Summerfield. I'll do that with this bowl of Maple Street in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple.

Work is done and I'm relaxing with a bowl of Rekamepip's This & That in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer. Suzy wanted to read the box scores with me, but I think she gave up because she didn't understand why a player would want to catch fly balls.

Last smoke before sleep is Blue Danube in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.95) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega. Listening to a little music, too.

Happy Birthday, Hofnar! Too early to raise a glass in your honour but not too early for DTM Oriental Blending Tobacco (yes, on its own!) in an unmarked black sandblast briar Prince.

Go fry an egg and stick it in a quiche, Tough Guy. If you insult M79 or Spinnaker one more time, I'll get my Mother to come down to the Forum and do her 'Raving Nanna'
