There's only 3 viable alternatives to mowing the lawn that I'm aware of. Pick one. Herbicide. Astroturf. Throwing a few handfuls of the seeds of a certain weed on the lawn and waiting for the neighbours to phone in so that the government comes and cuts the whole lawn for you. Actually, thinking about it a little more, some of my neighbours wouldn't phone, they'd just harvest the crop and leave a mess.

Astleys 44 in a MM Legend. Nice after lunch smoke while catching up on Artemis sailing. Then it's time to go a cut some more lawn. 22C(72F)H48%

Finished the last of my Gauntley's Red Lace in my big Mario Grandi pot/billiard thing earlier.

Nice experience sat out watching the rain.

I'm smoking something I haven't had in a while. Brebbia Latakia Flake No.9 in the meer-lined Grabow. On Coda's recommendation I've just started watching Mystery Science Theater 3000 Giant Spider Invasion. Good afternoon everyone!

Thanks to Marker, I'm smoking Royal Yacht in a 1980 smooth Lorenzo Ambra 803 Oom Paul with a lucite stem. White Sox and Tigers are tied 2-2 in the 10th, Pirates lead the Rockies 5-1 in the 7th, Red Sox lead the D-Backs 4-0 in the 7th, and the Mariners lead the O's 3-2 in the 8th.

I have survived! (my day at work)
Currently I'm smoking some DGT'd tobacco from earlier today - Classic Burley Kake in a banded and foreverstemmed MM 5th Avenue Diplomat. Then dinner, followed by a serious bowl of tobacco in something big. :)

Thanks Lucky Duck for holding the fort. :thu2:

Since I can't afford any of Old Codger's or my favorite FishnBanjo suggestion for it, I am forced to go mow my weed field/Lawn. 4 bowls are pre-loaded might need a fifth, either a bowl or a bottle..

Yes, eventually the grass will be replaced with hardscape ;). Already did that in the back. Mostly patio, gravel path, planting beds and eventually a pond (just one that battle :ohyh:) The lawn is actually small but the nice guy in me got suckered by my senior neighbors in to mowing theirs too. Not really suckered and I don't really mind. Glad to help folks out. I just wouldn't feel right seeing my 80+ neighbors toiling away on it when it's easy for me to just whoop it out. It just takes a bit of motivation on a lazy Sunday morning. Finished now and pondering some black vanilla cavendish...

Thanks to Flatbush Paul, I'm smoking Kendal's #7 in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted Comoy's Silver Cloud 624. A glass of ice tea properly chilled is my drink. The day is going by fast, but I'm keeping up with it.

Currently Smoking more August Blend in blackstone pipe

while finishing up my project from the other day

    100_3055.JPG

Started Out with 1 Pound of Whole leaf burley,
    turkish, danish and norwegian shag
Tossed in a few large Vintage Tin Fulls of MCBaren Tobacco from the 1980's
Added in hand fulls of this and that
along with a few more tins of tobacco that have not seen much action i way of personal smoking

heck i might have threw in a little bit of good tobacco and a cigar for good measure

ended up with 10 Quart Bags Full and a few jars packed full

considering all of this tobacco had just been sitting around
i feel i dang near hit a freekin jackpot !

    Some will be pressed and
most of it gets to go back into hiding / dry storage :whis:

I said I'll smoke some tobacco in something big, so I decided on smoking the Moretti Meat Tenderizer (©YAPPG) for the second time. Tobacco of choice is Motzek#93. This will keep me busy for quite a while! :beck:

In to rehydrate and cool down with Painter Hills in an old Peterson african meerschaum. Not a single vampire bug out today, wonder where they all went. 21C(70F)H52%
