Started today in the actual morning. 03:00. Started with 10 Russians in the Pete with my usual industrial grade coffee. Have had two bowls of the Ruskies so far. Great start to the day.

Another great start to the day was reading about Walkinstick's new job. Great news Stick. I'm thrilled on your behalf.

Granger in a 2013 MM straight Legend. This is the last of what Rekamepip gifted me. It was better than I expected, a no-nonsense slightly sweet, nutty burley. Thanks for the 'baccy! Simply Orange is my drink.

Once again thanks to FlatbushPaul I'm enjoying ERR from 1945 in the Tsuge Tankard, a bit too wobbly for walkabout at the moment but packed pipes and tobacco in hope of making tonight's Pipe Club Meeting at Federal Tobacconist in Portsmouth NH. The Tsuge has now surpassed 300 smokes and is as good looking as they day it got to me and smokes just wonderfully very surprised to see the price has doubled but even at that it's a great pipe. :thu2:

Thinking I like the MMs without the filters, going to load up with the VA Flake for after dinner and this evening and see how that goes. The Plum Cake was definately tastier sans filter.

I only use the first filter on a new MM until the birch shank breaks in inside the bowl then gone forever and speaking of forever consider getting a Forever Stem you won't be sorry, best friend you can buy for the MM and you. :)

I was planning on getting a couple when I return to the states, to ship them here would be too costly. Would you recommend that I get new MMs for the stems or use them on the ones I currently have?

They'll outlast all your cobs, more than likely. You can swap them back and forth between pipes. I have one particular stem that I just enjoy more than the rest and find myself moving it from cob to cob.

If you want more MM's buy them to smoke, like WalkinStick wrote you can swap a Forever Stem from MM to MM unless it's a Patriot that uses a smaller diameter stem.

Been out in the shop working on a commission and decided it was time to take a break, having some SP Cherry Cav in my Poker with some Maxwell House. Light drizzle this morning is keeping things cool, I like this!

On the way back to the office after a meeting with a young man in our congregation this morning I enjoyed Watch City Cigar's Deluxe Crumb Cut in my travelin' pipe: a MM Washington bent.

Fantastic news Mr Stick! I'm very happy for you - good luck with the new job and have fun!
I had a job in the recording studio today and had to go there by train, which was pure horror since the air-conditioning failed shortly after the departure - it was probably 122F in there and felt like a traveling Sauna. I arrived at the studio tired and soaked in sweat, but when I left the studio I was sooo pleased to see that our own Stormy finally payed a visit to Germany. Thanks Stormy! Now it's pouring with rain and it's no longer quite that hot - so, perfect for having a good smoke. And I will have an awesome one, because I chose a fishnbanjo combo: SALAMInBASH. :)
Thanks again and again Mr Fish.

Had an hour for lunch, so went and sat in the truck, down by the river. Had a tuna wrap, ice tea and a bowl of CH in the Patriot w/Forever stem.

Congats on your new position, Stick.

Just about time for class to start back up--yawn!
