The original had a fair amount of yellow Virginia in the mix along with the perique and stoved Virginia. It was tart, smooth, and spicy.

I picked up some Paladin Black Cherry earlier..it's a little perfume-y for me. The big surprise was my bud giving me a tin of Dunhill 965, which I'm roasting a big bowl of right now. I can dig it.

This is smooth, but I get no spice and not tangy at all. May be because its so fresh and needs to sit a while. Moisture seems ok but its such a fine ribbon. Who knows?

A burley blend in the bent legend. I haven't smoked this pipe in ages...my CG has been doing most of the cob duties around here.

Man I love burley in a cob.

I was wondering how you were doing earlier. Obviously not any better. Sorry to hear it brother. My middle brother suffered quite a bit from stones years ago, and I recall it being a pretty miserable experience for him too. Hope you get some relief soon. :th1:

Agree there are 2 VA's in there, will give it a go in one of my Askwith Morta pipes since they smoke clean and nothing but VA's and VA/Per's have been smoked in them and I'll report back.

Been busy, had a few pipes, first was the banjofied Country Gentleman with Pipes&Cigars Smyrna Blend with PRM God only knows what # strong and black, then it was on to the Rockin' Black Rock Cob with Black Bamboo Shank and black and amber Forever Stem filled with Smokers Haven In-B-Tween Mixture with a double double Cuban espresso as tag along. Finally I started a bowl of Dust in the Wind's Kansas City in the MM Mizzou with plum Forever Stem.

The busy part was trying to keep Levi calm, he had something happen last night that lasted a bit over 2 hours, his eyes were big as saucers and he kept pacing around like a wild animal with his tail going the whole time. He did it again this afternoon and what I noticed what happens is his depth perception is gone, not sure if it's due to the state he's in or what but the panting continued so I brought him outside which calms him down and he walks in circles, will call the vet Monday if this repeats.

Nice rain cooled day in my part of Texas. Enjoying a bowl of Scottish Cake in my Rekamepip Red Rock Cob while the thunder rolls. Nice to have some comfortable temps! Next month is the first day of Fall. Might not feel like it but looking forward to the cooler weather. My smoking hoodie patiently hangs in the garage.

Sure hope Levi is ok, maybe he ate something off, or a inner ear thing?

Thanks to Mount Mandolin, I'm smoking Beck's Ol' Limey So&So in a 1949 medium bend Dunhill Shell. This is my first time smoking it. So far, it's a very tasty English blend. A botle of Pepsi made with pure cane sugar is my drink.
