A combo of Scotty's Butternut Burley and a bit of LJ Heart Burley in the short MM General. The BB was just a bit that didn't fit into a jar, so the baggie was light enough for a cat to bat around the office ... probably the one that keeps jumping on my lap and purring.

Did he send you a fruitwood one also? I smoke my fruitwood "cob" just about every day and love it.

My hubby claimed the rock-cob and really likes it, which worked out perfect for both of us. It's a neato pipe and I did smoke it once myself ... but I love the fruitwood one the bestest.

Trying to get some 2015 lit in a nice smoking GBD Rhodesian. I plan to finish off some Butternut Burley in a cob later tonight. What a great and inexpensive combination.

    edit:
even though the side walls have cracks - it looks like it will be a good smoker

That GH Dark Trifecta I mixed up was so good that I smoked it all in record time. So, I just mixed another batch.
    50g Kendal Kentucky
    40g Kendal Mix #7
    30g Dark Flake scented

I pressed it all down into an 8oz jar to marry for awhile. About 3 bowls worth wouldn't fit. I'm smoking it now in a Country Gent. This is just right.

    Happy smoking, fellows.

Drying out some BBF and Bright CR
as a promise to Fbones. As it dries,
I'm munching on some Jelly Babies,
and drinking some Prince of Wales.

Hubby didn't steal the rock cob. John sent one pipe for each of us, and after trying both I had no problems handing the rock cob over and keeping hold of the fruitwood one! Oh ... have I mentioned how great I think the fruitwood-carved "cob" is?

As long as you're not expecting Condor, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
