I think so. This 1979 one I bought for .99 cents is small, but I was desperate to find something to smoke that night while out in the snow with friends. It's really held up, though there have been years I haven't smoked it at all. I have a 1984 General that's done great for me, too. They do smoke better than the 2002 and 2012 cobs I have. I wouldn't say it was night and day different, but the older ones are smoother smokes.

Still awake, so now I'm smoking MacBaren Virginia #1 in a smooth full bend 1977 Crown Coachman 215.

Just lit a bowl of PA in a MM Country Gentleman. It's been a two pipe morning. Everyone else is asleep but me and my bird dog and we're being lazy watching the fire and reading a western. Yes my dog likes it when I read to her. Louis L'Amour is by far her favorite author, but Gene Hill is a close second. For instructional reading she prefers Ted Trueblood to Richard Wolters, but we appreciate his work as well.

That sure is some stellar stuff! You've caused me to load some in a Barling straight pot and set it afire.:)

digging into the new (to me)
    samples, but I'm a little
groggy to decide what to load.
    Morning.

Slept really well last night, all things considered.

Woke up, had a leisurely cup of tea, brushed my teeth, and now I've made my way to a bowl of G.L. Pease Stratford in the Ben Wade billiard. Nice smoke for the first of the day :puffy:

I've been out for walk around some of the local shops today, took a Pete Rustic Barrel and G & H Best Brown with me and managed to fit in two bowls between shops.
Now sitting at home with Germain's Rich Dark in a John Redman Billiard.

Really regretting I didn't bring some BB#2 with me on my trip. But, I did bring along some Rich Dark Flake, and was thinking it may be called for later!

Morning PSF. Smoking some MacBaren Navy Flake in a new Tinsky Xmas pipe. Starbucks Blonde in the cup and The Rockford Files on Netflix. Good way to start a Sunday.

Broke out two new tins: Beacon Extra in a Caminetto Business and Bombay Extra in the La Rocca Novo.

First impressions: Beacon - meh. Bombay - quite nice.
