Still listening to the Edward G. Robinson two hour marathon on the XM. Next show up is Big Town, a show where Robinson played Steve Wilson of the Gazette. In honor of EGR, and thanks to Furious, I'm soylently going to smoke 1960's Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2003 IMP horn Meer.

My last smoke before sleep is Kentucky Planter in a 1988 smooth full bend Peterson System Standard XL 315. I was introduced to this blend as a review tin for Sutliff. I must say it's a tasty burley, and I like it. Even our favorite smarter than the average Dbear smokes it. Now, if we can get him to drink properly chilled sodas, I figure it's just one step closer to having him wear shoes.

    Morning all,

First smoke of the day is some 3 Bells by Sturk's Tobacconist here in CT.
It's supposed to be their version of the old 3 Nuns (I last smoked that 6 years ago, so can't really speak regarding the comparison.)
It has got a good amount of nicotine in it though, and since I finished the last tin of Irish Oak I could find and my TAD shipment still hasn't arrived, a (not so) healthy dose of nicotine is just what I need.
    Have a great day!

Morning folks. Back on the Maltese Falcon in the Pete Killarney with beans, wondering in what constructive way I can waste my weekend.

NCIS, season 7 episode 6: that muslim woman says to a former agent "The Greeks would call you Charon, your boat leads the deads to Hell"

NO, This is WRONG! The Charon [Χαρων or Χαρος in Greek] with his boat was leading the dead people to Hades. Form there the God of the Underworld could choose to send them in Elysian Fields or Tartara depend from their way of life and how they act as living persons.
Even today in Greece as successors of the ancient Greeks you use the same words, we say Elysia [Ηλυσια] or Tartara [ταρταρα] or Hades [Αδης]. Other religions have the Elysia as Heaven and Tartara as Hell, you can meet the word Elysia in other languages for example "Elysee" or "Elysium" because they copy it.

That's just disturbing! That reminds me of my Aunt Julie, she's the one that makes Bertie Wooster's aunts look normal.
