We do things a bit different for decorating the Christmass tree . We put ours up very near Christmass and decorate it when family comes up .. well , we finally got around to it today . It's 67 degrees and the house was warm but I couldnt put the air on cause " Ma " would get cold ...... my brother in laws girlfriend couldnt stop playing the piano , which she hasnt learned how to play yet . All in all , a loud annoying event of decorating the Tree ... lovely . The upswing is that I'm now enjoying a bowl of Reiner Golden Flake and I got a new ornament this year ...

A few moments away from smoking Hamborger Veermaster in a 2002 black pebble finish straight Cavicchi C. Fatto A Mano Billiard. Lots to do, so I'm off to work, and do some quality control on another project. Still listening to Bing Crosby on the XM, but I'm about to switch over to David McCullough's audio book about The Brooklyn Bridge. Thanks to Flatbush Paul, the slanderer and all round ice chewer, for the tobacco.

Day #2. No work. Merry Christmas! Posting from 7 pages back.

Smoking a second bowl of Sutliff Medium Burley in my new Merry Christmas Rekamepip PearWood pipe with the bark still on the outside. This pipe is WAYYYYYY cool! (Smoking good, too.)

Back in the good old days, I would smoke the VaPer Three Nuns several times a day, and also smoked Dunhill Navy Rolls, Dunhill Elizabethan, and Balkan Sobranie. I occasionally took a break and smoked SWRA, or another English blend or I'd just plain try something new from time to time. But The Three Nuns was always my main smoke, until Imperial stopped importing it to the US, and even then, I spent several years getting it from Synjeco in Switzerland. I guess earlier in this millennium was the last time I smoked the same tobaccos back to back, though I believe I did that once earlier this year for a reason I forget now.

It's a shame that none of my old regular smokes are the same quality now, and if Germain's makes more Balkan Sobranie, it'll be darn near impossible to get, as was the case early this year. Had nothing changed, I doubt I'd have smoked half of what I have in the intervening years, so it's a mixed blessing. But I'm very tempted to open a tin of the VaPer Three Nuns now that the subject is brought up.

So far 3 pipes of 4th Generation 11897, in different Dr. Grabow pipes. No ready for some Gold Rush in a Pete. Temperature in the 70's and raining steadily. Teddi still enjoying outdoor time with her dad (me).

Yeah - very very cool pipe! :punk:

I moved on to a bowl of Steven Books' "Nothing like the first pipe of the day", which is actually my third pipe of the day - big thank you once again to FlatbushPaul! Smoking it in the Peterson Antique 1909, red wine on the side.

Now smoking Astley's 44 , thanks to the rotter Berg, in a Kaywoodie bent apple with a push stem. Will order more in the future, but for now TAD and PAD are on hold until I recover from holiday spending.

Ah, the relief of not having to work is pouring off of me in waves. Thanks to all who helped with crossed fingers. (Sorry for the inconvenience to your smoking!)

I've now got Peretti Park Square going in the Squatch scoop. Stormy had a huge party here in Nashville last night and I got to put on my poncho and go out in it and boogie to some great drumming, pounding and disco lights. I love that kind of weather.
