I like the Dr Plum's Oil Skin pouches, roll up for pocket, give a good working platform on flap, keep the tobacco moist and flavour in,
here with a terracotta humi disk a Tonka bean and a Vanilla pod [IMG]

Thanks. I didn't expect to be up this early either. I went to bed and was up in less than two hours later. Sometimes sleep eludes me. While awake, I fed Suzy and Molly and decided to directly compare the 1978 MacBaren Symphony I had smoked before going to sleep with the current blend, which I'm now smoking in a straight 2012 Rekamepip made Sugar Barrel pipe. The recent vintage is very toned down as I noted earlier. The spice note is here, but toned down as is the sweetness. So ageing all these years has amped up those flavors into a real treat. I had the same experience with the vintage 1985 MacBaren Navy Flake, which I'm nearly out of. Same for the McCelland Navy Cavendish that I recently consumed. All three blends are spicer and sweeter with age.

Good morning. Starting the day with 2 year old Mc. Clellan's #24 in a Trapwell straight billiard with Community coffee on the side. After three days of rain accumulating over 6 inches, North Florida gets a reprieve for most of the day today. It supposed to start back tonight with severe thunderstorms possible and lasting through the day tomorrow. I have work and PT tomorrow. It's feeling like a call in sick day ;).

Received my package of new MM cobs from P&C yesterday. Smoked Pete's Sherlock Holmes in teh new Country Gentleman. What a difference! I could actually taste the sweetness they say is in it.

Staarted this morning with the remainder of NC in the American Patriot. Nice!

CH in the 2012 POY with Maxwell House. Sunny morning, been making a list for a Harbor Freight trip. Mother-in-law got me a gift card from there that needs to be taken care of. And I'm just the feller for the job! Good morning all!

Gave up on sleep and getting ready to eat two country ham, egg and cheese biscuits with red grape juice. And smoking the current Three Nuns tinned version in a 2003 medium bend straight grain Viggo Nielsen sitter with a Cumberland-like stem.

Loading Pop's Pipe with Mc. C's #22 and finishing the last of the coffee. Piper Mike is stopping by in a few minutes and we will certainly enjoy a bowl and a few laughs this afternoon.
