C&D's Engine 99 in a lil' Moretti. Great stuff.
Good Saturday morning to all.
Starting the day off here in beautiful BC with a bowl of H&H Louisiana Red
in a Big Ben billiard, coffee on the side.
Love that pipe!
Anyone heard from Pipewife since she moved?
You gotta admire this. Codger break dancing!
Couldn't but notice the 2 different color socks. Bet he has another pair just like them!
Morning again, fellows.
Kendal Kentucky in a whimsical L'Anatra cherrywood. Looks more like a swan than a duck.
Finally hit the bottom of my tin stack. Filled my Gentleman's cob with Dunhill Navy Rolls, which I have not smoked in a long time. Wife is fully awake now. Dogter Teddi is asleep in her lap. I am finally fully awake with a V-8 bloody in a glass next to me.
Frog Morton On the Town in a bent Legend
Prairie Wind in a Pete system 306
Club Blend in my Spill-Dog.
PA in a MM cob from a fresh tub... HOLY CRAP I didn't realize it would be this different from PA in a pouch. Everything I love about PA in the pouch is amplified, and it's not soaking wet with humectants. It's not that I didn't believe everyone saying that the tub is different from the pouch, but I didn't expect the difference to be this stark.
New blend time for me again. GL Pease Jack Knife Plug in my sav 614.
Storm Front in a The Golden Arrow Comoy's second 532
Edgeworth Slices (thanks Highstump) in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09).
butternut burley in a cob and another beer in the man cave...
For some reason I remember Grandma's tea being a black tea. We put milk and sugar in it. She gave me my tea in a highly decorated demitasse cup she got in Venice. Was there a black tea that was Gunpowder style? I also remember the little balls of tea being much smaller. This was back in 1974-1976. Any ideas?
HoW Argosy Black in a forever stemmed Cob. Oh memories. This was all I smoked in my youth. I was bummed when I started smoking pipe again a couple years ago that it was out of production. I found this sealed can at a cig shop locally a year ago or so and finally decided to open it. The P&C match is close but not exactly the same. It is always however hard to say if memory, age, etc have an impact on comparison. Anyway, happy Saturday and happy smoking!
De La Concha Marbella.
Just had some SWRA in one of my MM Ozark Hardwoods. Dang, that was actually a fine, fine smoke. I don't think this pouch is gonna last very long. Glad I gave this blend another chance.
