Yeah, the leaves rolled into little pellets is a pretty traditional manner of preparation, and you can find green, oolong, and black teas made like this.

Although I'm not a big fan of Teavanna, their Copper Knot Hongcha is a pretty solid, if unremarkable, black tea which is prepared similarly. It's also one of their less expensive blends.

Last two bowls were Irish Oak. One in the Astas billiard, one in the Croft's Premium Canadian. After that I've had two cheap cigars, both of which I enjoyed. It's been a good day so far!

Just got home from errand running. I'm loading a Falcon with 1Q to breathe a little while I shower and do my PT exercises. Then I will pour a glass of red wine, relax and enjoy my evening pipe.

How are those Molinas? Seen a few online and some of them look really nice for the price.

Smoking GH Four Squires in a Falcon. More unashamed codgerdom.

Like I said, I don't have much of a point of reference. I smoke Prince Albert from my MM Legend, and I tried 79 in this Medico Brylon (***lesson learned ***). However, I really do like this inexpensive combo of Middleton's Cherry in my MM Hardwood. I also learned the value of removing the filter that comes with it. I am excited about trying Carter Hall, as it appears to be a mainstay of many PSFers.

After a frustrating session of attempted pipe making with tenons turned too small, buttons of pre-molded stems snapping for no apparent reason and to top it all off, a cracked shank, I thought I would treat myself and tuck into a pack of Revor Plug for the first time. Smoking it in a £10 Blakemar and I can safely say that I can see what all the fuss is about.

I loaded my favorite Va/Per, Dan's St.Bernard into my favorite pipe, the custom made Moretti. Trying to figure out if I should commission another Moretti Bulldog, a bigger one with a slightly bent stem - or to order a first Meerschaum. Maybe this bowl will help to come to a final decision.
