Early morning & the air is still cool after last night's thunderstorm. Just made a mug of Earl Grey & am finishing up a bowl of FVF in a Pietenpauw bulldog. Life is good!

Virginia Squire in a 2002 black sandblast full bend D.R. Ardor Urano John Eells Giant Fatta A Mano. A helluva big pipe, which is why I hardly get a chance to smoke. And a Sprite. And watching a BBC Sherlock episode.

Stepped out in the garage earlier to keg up my lastest homebrew and had a quick bowl of McClelland's Rasberries' In Cream. I'm not big on the fruit Aro's and first time trying it, but wow this was impressively delish.

Weybridge in Peterson 80s most of the day. Irish Flake cradling Hyde Park in BST Canadian with a glass of crushed ice on the side.
Quite tasty. I cut the cradle flake back so that the ends reached up to about a third of an inch from the top of the bowl and then loaded in the Hyde Park. The flake is just starting to ignite and it's combining with the Hyde Park very nicely. -2C(28F)H50%

This evening was one of the fastest break-ups I've had.
Like removing a band-aid, best to get it done quick.
    Lessons learned.

Well the Honey Badger was a bit moist and hard to keep lit, and some drying should improve it, but I think it's a safe bet going forward. Nice balance of sweet and smoky. Now to finish the day with some delicious (if a bit dry) Dunhill Flake in my go-to virginia bowl, the Comoy Bulldog. 'Night, all!

Been smoking Solani 127 in a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple, and trying to decide what to smoke next.

Okay. I decided since I just finished the Solani 127. Now, it's Former Bird's Eye Flake (thanks TedVig) in a 1975 medium bend yellow Pioneer meer.

And what's probably my last smoke of the evening/morning: Boswell's Bear Blend (thanks Stormy) in a 1979 signed Rossi Oom Paul 1886 natural. I have just enough of this blend for one more bowl.

    Good Morning,

I get to spend the day in rather contentious meetings today. Come 4:30 I should be fit to be tied.

I had half a bowl of GH Brown Flake left in yesterday's Castello, so I crammed a wad of Special Latakia Flake on top and had at it.

Loaded a Westbrook with Virginia Woods (thanks cobb for the recommendation) for my first smoke this morining with Community Coffee on the side. This Virginia Woods is a nice smoke and is beginning to find a place in my cellar. The overnight drying time did not hurt it one bit.

Too tired to do much smoking last night. This morning loaded up a meers with Presbyterian. Of course that calls for Gunpowder Green tea on the side. Apparently I had not cleaned the meers properly, so a bad smoke. Loaded up one of my oldest briars with with and enjoyed that smoke Packed some Walnut and my MM Hardwood for the trip home from work.
