Had some Mac B navy mix in my Spill Dog on the way back from supper with the bro-in law & family.
My last pipe for the night as well, Germain's Special Latikia Flake in my new Cob :- Post #1663 with a wee dram
I've smoked 5 or 6 bowls through it today and as it only came with the one filter in it, I was trying a cut down pipe cleaner
1/2 way through I remembered that my Altinok Meer. came with two stems and I swapped the spare onto an un-named carved pipe
this gave me a stem that with a couple of turns of PTFE tape fits the Cob and smokes great without the filter
good night all from the Republic of Yorkshire

AJ's VaPer in my Pete Dracula 69.
CH in a MM General Nosewarmer.
How hard is it to clench a General Nosewamer? I'm imagining that there would be too much weight in the bowl to comfortably clench it for long periods.
Green Hills in my DGE Chunky Elegancy briar nosewarmer. (also known as the Little Incinerator.)
I have three normal Generals that I smoke pretty often. No problem clenching them indefinitely. They're still lighter than a briar pipe. You're not thinking MacArthur but typing General, are you?
Not thinking of the MacArthur. I have a normal general with a forever stem, I can clench it for a little while but I find the weight of a filled bowl in it makes it a little tough to clench for the whole bowl (ie- while driving). Was wondering if it's any easier to clench with the nosewarmer.
Luxury Twist Flake in a Soren Freehand.
Manhattan's with Rye on the side
Last smoke of the night. Macbaren Scottish Blend in a Missouri Meerschaum Mini
GH Top Black Cherry in the Bjarne. Man alive, this stuff is good. Tastes just like cherry cake, the flavor doesn't quit, and it smokes dry as a bone even in Ye Olde Gurglepipe. Oh yeah, and best of all, despite being very sweet it's never cloying, and despite being very aromatic it doesn't bite.
DID I MENTION IT TASTES LIKE CHERRY BIRTHDAY CAKE??
try it....for real, even if you don't normally do the cherry aro thing...this is a good one
Not hard at all.
Just finishing up a bowl of ODF in a little 5dot Brigham smooth billiard with
after dinner coffee. Next up H&H Virginia Spice in Dunhill shell billiard.
