    Good day gang!

Started the day with Some discontinued Stokkebyes Curly Cut in the Dunhill Man meer and a Cappuccino.
This blend was dropped a few years back, and my son & I bought the last 5 lbs from Mars Cigars! Slowly working our way through it.....<grin>

Penzance in my christmas meer. When I was a young boy I spent the summers with my dad. He was not a pipe smoker but had a meer displayed on his dresser. For the past two years I've bugged him to mail it to me so I can put it to good use. I've remembered it as a large pipe with great detail. It arrived in a christmas package. Funny how memory works. Instead of a large bowl , this sucker is a fifteen minute smoke at best lol. However it's now my most prized pipe! I have twenty five pipes, but this little fella came from my pops!

Finally going to smoke my Altinok Bacchus Meer after 8+ years of sitting on my bookshelf. It was one of those "Too beautiful to smoke" things I guess. Anyway going to use it for what it was intended for and smoke a bowl of Penzance. Looking forward to see him get some color.

Great looking Bacchus there, Rondel. Hope he smokes as good as he looks.

Whence did you acquire him, if I might ask?

Thanks Stewart. Must have been around 05 or 06. It was carved by a gentleman with the last name of Baglan. I bought a claw and egg before that which is still unsmoked. Huge bowl on that one. I bought a golfball meer in 07 which I actually do smoke. All Altinoks. The Bacchus meer smoked great! I've got some catching up to do with this one.

Christening my new claw with Dunhill Flake. Nice cool smoke, gaining in complexity as it burned down the bowl. No beeswax flavors at all, just lovely tobacco.

Just bought my first meer, a used no name from the local tobacconist yesterday. Tried some 1Q and it burned so hot, I had to set it down. The Mrs. hated the room note too? I'll have to try something else to see how it burns.
