Still at the NO SMOKING ON PREMISES condo so I started the morning with a sneaked cig and coffee. The beach is beautiful and it really warmed up yesterday so Miss Daisy was able to get out and walk on the beach. Today we are going to Destin so I have loaded the Falcon with Carter Hall for the drive. It's about a 45 minute drive from here so it is perfect for one bowl. Have a great day everyone.

Painter Hills in a DGE. Everything tastes a little odd, perhaps it's the Benylin. Halfway home, -20C(-4F)H84% in Pocatello.

The "Shed", 14' x 10', at the bottom of the garden photo #1 in post #1711 has a small 6' x 5' smoking/bar lean to built on the end, that's as far as I ventured today. When in there I always have a candle lit, and light the pipe from a wooden spill extingiuished in a jar of dry sand. Carried on with another Germains Latakia in the Falcon and a Laphroiag (or 2)

I wasn't too sure about the apple shape, or the condition of the pipe when I got it (it has a big ding in the airway and a divot in the finish on the front) but it smokes very well and it is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. Despite its condition, the bowl wasn't really broken in. I'm fixing that. :)

Just the opposite here. I like the snow. I don't want a steady diet of it but a few weeks a year with snow on the ground wouldn't bother me a bit. Most people retire to a warmer area. When this rat leaves the race, I'm headed toward a "more snow, less rain" neck of the woods. I even have a brand new snow shovel picked out for my wife. Its pink with shiney objects on it, she will take right to it I'm sure...well pretty sure.

Meantime, it's foggy and damp here.

Two back to back bowls of prince Albert in the same tilshead prince with four cups of coffee and some vintage Dr who episodes to wake up and get rolling today. That pipe and tobacco combination is amongst my favorites.

Molly is finicky today, so Suzy had two portions of wet food. I have John Patton Virginia Squire in a 1970s smooth straight grain Savinelli Oom Paul Non Pareil 9504.

Ladies and Gentlemen - The time has come.
I'm going to smoke now a totally new and unsmoked Pre-Republic Peterson Premier System from 1947 for the first time.
Stuffed it with McClelland's Virginia #27 ...this is very exciting - cool, that you're with me.

    :bday: to rekamepip!

After my usual morning bowl of C&D Red Odessa, I opted for some GLP Charing Cross in the rekamepip fruitwood-carved "cob" as it is a cold one here. The dog only thinks he wants out ... until the wind blows through his extremely short pit bull coat, then he wants back in to cuddle under the blanket on the couch again.
