Aye Eric, Heating the block as the Old Codger recommends is a great idea. Something else to consider is a water line heater. Most of the old block heaters were in the form of a oil heater, but, they leave carbon deposits in the oil which can cause other problems. Keep the water separator clear. Good Luck and stay warm!

Now smoking Royal Yacht in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051. Tasty stuff, well worth the money. Suzy agrees because she came running when I lit up. Good girl!

I've come up with a clever name for the 50/50 mix of PS Natural Dutch Cavendish and Dunhill Royal Yacht. I'm calling it Royal Dutch Cavendish. Very fitting.

I'm going to mix up half of a tin of Royal Yacht of this and give it quite a few more smokes regularly this next week. Depending on how well I actually like it, I'll have to order a few more tins and more of the PS cavendish to mix a whole jar.

What's that pipe look like? Neat that Orvis branded pipes.

EDIT: Saw the pic - posted this from a few pages back. That is a great pipe and great backstory.
