Now smoking Nightcap in a Pete IA 999, hot, sweet tea on the side.

Nice quiet day today, got some pipes cleaned and some shopping done and then went out with some friends for Vietnamese and then coffee.

    How's everyone's morning?

Fine thank you, especially as it's evening and time for some Royal Yacht in the Benfield. How's yours? It's got to be good with a gorgeous pipe like that, you must feel like Arthur Miller every time he woke up with Marylin next to him.

I have to admit I already feel that way about my wife. Good pipes, tobacco, books, tea and friends are just icing on the cake.

Hey there Sillybear. I'm still trying to wake up, but today should be relatively uneventful and relaxing.
    Kind of gloomy weather here.
Packing some Carter Hall in an MM Mizzou bent :puffy:
More coffee is in my future

Stormy's visiting us, and so he won't feel lonely, I'm smoking Three Friars in a 1980 black rusticated rough top Jobey E27 Stromboli extra egg-shaped poker. I figure some burley smoke in the air will perk him up as the cold rain sweeps over us. I'd offer him a bowl, but I'm too cheap!

    Since I'm 6 pages back
    already, and it's shorts/
    Tshirt weather, I'm out
    back turning. No chance
to get caught up at the mo.
Earlier, I did have a bowl
    Of Old Ironsides.

Setting out some IRC Virginia Flake to dry for a bit.
Still puffing away on the Carter Hall in the MM Mizzou and drinking another mug of instant coffee.

Started packing a pipe with OGS while I was working on a clients computer and I made mention that I need something to wake me up a bit. She turned around and made a surprised look when she saw me packing a pipe and said " Oh, is that pot or spice or something?" I said, "No, this is just regular pipe tobacco." I don't think the average person sees a pipe anymore and thinks it's for tobacco. I also don't think flake tobacco looked like tobacco to her.

Another dark windy wet mild morning in the eastern Fraser Valley.
Starting this day with a bowl of C&D Bayou Morning in an Invicta bent Rhodesian.
Great combination with coffee on the side.

Taking a break at work. I know lots of people don't like Captain Black, but this is pretty good, I'm having Captain Black Dark in an MM Patriot.

Phew! I was left with Thomas all morning and he refused to settle unless I was holding him. So I let him sleep on my shoulder while I watched Luther on Netflix. so much for work this morning!

Julie finally got home from volunteering to relieve me and I just got out for a much needed bowl of Mac Baren Navy Flake in the Pete bulldog.

I've had similar experiences. Even when smoking my cobs, I've had people ask "what are ya smoking?" followed by a chuckle. It's annoying that some people assume I'm smoking anything but tobacco.

About to start up some IRC Virginia Flake in an older MM Pride straight :puffy:
