Earlier tonight it was Irish Oak in the Jarl whatever-the-hell-it-is pipe. Got a Dr. G Omega with some Dunhill Flake lined up for when the storms hit in a few.

Did you know that there are two peanut farmers who are members of PSF? Well, they got together and sent me some Penzance; you might call it a "Dutch Treat". I'm humbled and very thankful. I hope that I can help "trickle down" some of their generosity. Here I am smoking some Penzance in a Squatch. :)

Well this is my 1,000 post. Guess i smoked & posted 800+ bowls the past few months. So with that i'm gonna smoke Boston 1776 in a Spillproof stubby billiard. Since this is a milestone i think that pipe & tobacco should fit the bill.

Thanks all for guiding & showing me the way..With that..:toast: to the next 1,000..

    Holy moly, this is DIFFERENT!

Just lit up my first bowl ever of Sillem's Black which I got today as part of a trade. It's a fruity aromatic....with latakia. It's....so....just....different! I like it....I think!

    Hey folks!

Speaking of Bjarne, my Viking is filled up with some McClelland's 221b series 'Arcadia'. Just wrote a review on this, and tbh, I still don't know how I feel about it.

Nutty Cut in a little bent anonymous meerschaum. Sometimes I really enjoy this tobacco, other times it's just ok. Tonight it's fine stuff, very fine stuff. 15C(59F)H44% cooling off nicely as the sun sets.

Down to the bottom of the bowl of Sillem's Black (or very near the bottom, at any rate) and while still sweet and lightly fruity, the aromatic qualities have settled down substantially - though it hasn't gone flat and ashy. Still a minor latakia note and a decent tobacco flavor. Let's see if the flavoring itself grows on me...first impression leaves me confused, and it tastes slightly medicinal, like those cherry cough drops that don't have any actual medicine in them. Not bad, but not over-the-top-awesome. I'll give it a few more smokes, but so far I think this is something I could probably smoke indoors and which is good enough to satisfy.
