I'm enjoying a late evening cup of coffee with a bowl of BR Whiskey in a DrG Rhodesian.
Evening All. Thanks to a recent trade with Spill I can say something that all of you cool kids have been saying for ages........CH in a cob!! Strange that a year in I still had not given this combo a whirl - and yes there is something to be said for it!
Well i guess the excitement for the evening is over

I've been curious about that Brown Flake! How is it?

at least a decade!
ERR (not RRR - Paul ) in a Falcon.
Storm Front in a Diplomat with a beer-like substance called Honey Brown on the side.
So I am not lying here....I went to tamp this pipe a little, compress the ashes lightly...and I got a big ole whiff of the stuff right up the nose......
I honestly thought it smelled like the ice cream shop I worked for when I was 16. Fresh waffle cones, vanilla, sugar.....amidst the normal woodsy, incense-like scents, of course. It's good stuff
In my opinion the Kentucky really sets this stuff apart. The Virginia is very good but the Kentucky burley gives it kind of a zing. To me it is a lot like McClellends Navy Flake but the burley in the forefront gives it a kinda slight nutty and slightly spicy element but covers up any sweetness that might be there. I like it!
Nightcap from dwaugh that totally kicked.my ass in my straight varnished billiard pipe I call "midnight in Italy"
This was Penzance? Is that an aromatic??
He said it was from 2001
Sure isn't. Full on English. It's uniquely spicy and "aromatic" in an incense-like manner, though. Not aromatic at all in the sense of vanilla or cherry flavorings or anything
Weird that it smells like waffle cones! I made waffle cones at my first job in high school 20+ years ago. I'm gonna have to try some of that stuff.
Of course English blends ALWAYS taste like licorice to me...
