Had a nice Ice Tea then followed it up with a smoke of Wessex Brown Virginia Flake in the Pietenpauw Just-1, now enjoying a freshly ground Cuban double espresso, yum!

That pipe is just exquisite, wouldn't look out of place on a Fairport Convention album cover.

I totally agree with you and was floored when Jean de Toit told me he was embarrassed by it and surprised anyone bought it at all, in fact he made a totally new stem that flows nicely with the shank as a diamond then transitions to a flat stem. He also included one of his personal pipes he used for fishing, a craggy billiard with a bamboo shank.
He is such a gentleman to work with.

They're both attractive pipes and look an absolute pleasure to smoke. If they're the kind of pipes he's embarrassed over, I'd love to see the stuff he's proud of.

Afternoon bowl of University Flake. The wind's really picked up here today so it was a little brisker than it has been recently!

A little BS to tide me
    over whilst I wait for
    another SG blend
    to dry out. This time
    I'm waiting on some
    Golden Glow.

    Contemplating whether
    I should have my old
    lathe shipped from Utah,
or just buy a new one here.

Got some good sleep, and when I came into the den, Suzy and Molly were so happy to see me, they serenaded me with happy meows. And believe it or not, they weren't even angling for lunch!! I'm starting my smoking day off with 2003 Dunbar with added Percy Martin Farms year 1991 perique in a 2002 smooth natural straight silver banded Ardor Venere Extra Fatta A Mano Maigret, signed by Dorelio Rovera. I like Dunbar on it's own, but a little more perique does make it better, and I think even brings out the sweetness of the blend a little more, along with the plum and pepper of the perique. I may have to jar a bag with added perique and let it sit a few years.

Hhhmmm... the Saint Bernard just brought me a bottle of Cheerwine. I wonder if he knows I really like cherry soda or does the word "wine" just appeals to him that much?

Going for a little pre-dinner Irish Oak in my Dr Grabow Lark. This thing's the perfect size for a quick smoke, I could probably do with another one of them!

Hot and humid again, but I see some clouds in the sky. Hey, Stormy, we could use some rain to cool us off!! Ya listenin', buddy?

Finally got off the recliner and drove in to the office--had a bowl of Walnut in the POY on the way. I'm sure the drive home will entail CH, probably in the little full-bent WDC Wellington.
