Revisiting the Engine #99, this time in the Squatch volcano. Doing work I really should have done a lot of yesterday.

Hyde Park in a DGE cob. The draw on this pipe is dead on for keeping this tobacco at the right temperature. Hyde Park can produce a little bit of a bite if it gets too hot. Crushed ice with a splash of maple syrup. 17C(63F)H76%

I'm saying good night cruel world with Pirate Cake in the diplomat. Perfect ending to a not so perfect but perfectly survivable day.

Thanks to FishnBanjo, I'm smoking MacBaren Plum Cake in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer. I was thinking as I packed this pipe that I probably smoke it more now than I did when I bought it for $4.95 all those years ago. It's a cool smoker, and gives a good natural taste of the tobacco I smoke in it.

Time to put my pipe smoking feet back on the ground. Carter Hall in the black rock cob. A little plain water to wash it down with.

My final smoke before sleep is Angler's Dream in a 2013 medium bend Spillproof corndog cob. I've been listening to the Burns and Allen marathon and now Fibber McGee and Molly on the XM. Btw, if anybody's been thinking about getting a corndog from Spillproof, quit thinking about it, and just get one. Man, this pipe smokes great!

    Happy Monday,

I got most of my outdoor chores done yesterday, and enjoyed what was the finest weather we've had this year - brilliant blue sky, 75F and not a hint of humidity. I smoked a cigar from Marker, and one from Wrightwood John, and even finished up the Genny Cream Ale that David left in the cooler. Oh, and I also finished up the Yuengling that p2 left. Yuengling is fine, Genny screamers, not so much.

This morning it's a pile of paper and e-work, and Brown Flake in one of Doug's cobs.

Good morning everyone! I visited a B&M called Just For Him in Springfield, MO. yesterday. Wow. So that's what a pipe shop looks like. Any of you guy ever in Springfield should check it out. This morning I'm smoking some PS LNF, that I cube cut a few months ago, in my 2013 PSF POY. Black coffee is my drink.

Now packing some Medium Flake in the bent Falcon. Does the fruitiness in it count as one of my five a day?

Started today with ERR Match in the 2013 POY and Community Coffee on the side. When I first smoked this ERR Match I was not very impressed (mind you I have never had the real stuff so I'm not comparing). I've had the Match jarred for 3 or so months, dipping in infrequently to sample a pipe full. Yesterday I smoked a bowl in the Kaywoodie POY and it was really enjoyable and the same this morning. I will smoke another bowl in a different briar tonight to see if it is just that the POY made it good or possably the little bit of aging.
