Just finished a bowl of Kendal Dark. Immediately lit up my Wally Frank Royal cob full of Motzek Strang. I've got some 1792 laid out for after this is done. Maybe some Kendal Kentucky after that...

Petersons summertime 2013 in my smooth peterson system 313. After several smokes, I think I finally "get" this tobacco. The mango comes through with a French inhale, didn't get ANY with a snork and little taste of it on the tongue. It's actually a very pleasant tobacco, and would be even without the mango notes. The rum is definitely there, noticed it straight away.

Listening to Jack Benny and then Lum and Abner while I work and smoke Old Dark Fired in a smooth briar calabash shape 1984 Fero Danese made in Italy. The Dodgers are back in LA, which means I get to hear Vin Scully tonight.

Got some OJK burning in the metal Titan (think I've finally gotten rid of its ghost) and have a flake of MikeInMaine's Firedance drying for enjoyment a little later on.

Step one: Figure out through trial and error exactly how much water you need to drink before you go to bed so that when the alarm clock rings you have no choice but to get up. Step two: Whatever the instructions say about how many teaspoons full of ground coffee you are supposed to use, use a table spoon instead. While the kettle is boiling load up a pipe with something that goes well with black coffee. Have a nice day. ( If it's a sunny morning, wear sunglasses since your eyelids won't close enough)

Edit: fishnbanjo's approach to coffee also works.

Jfro had some physical problems crop up; his back, I think. Dunno about BritAbroad and the others.

While waiting for a barbeque chicken dinner m'lady is cooking, I'm smoking Blue Danube in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.95) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega. A bottle Nesbitt's Orange soda is my drink.
