Shaking the cob webs with some CH in the Rusty Rhodes with Maxwell House. Just trying to catch up on my reading before heading to the shop.

Yesterday's circumnavigation of the city went well until the rain started mid-afternoon. Had a great seafood lunch at the Warf and a very lite supper at home. About 5 this morning, I was awakened with this urgent need to get to the tol, joh, crap, Necessary Room. I guess that seafood lunch was not as good as I thought. Today Miss Daisy wants to go to Thomasville GA to the Farmers Market and buy fresh Veggies and tomatoes. There is also a buffet restaurant at the Farmers Market where they prepare some of the best Southern food. She has been looking forward to this trip for about a month so I hope I don't have to disappoint her. No pipe yet this morning, but I am trying to get down a cup of coffee. Maybe after we return I can managed a bowl of CH in a cob.

It was warm +. Not really hot, comfortable. Might just need a thicker wall. I smoked all kinds of cuts in it and some one right after another. Enjoyed them all. Weight wasn't too bad. Prolly could hit a critter in the head if needed. :)

After getting home from work on a long train ride I normally immediately light up a pipe. Not last night. Needed nap for a hour. Then started the night with Blue Note. After couple pipes of that with dinner in between smoked Honey & Chocolate in a briar I have now dedicated to that blend. This morning, with temps already I the 80's, kept it normal, with Russian tea, Irish Oak and CH. Don't think it will be a heavy smoking day.

It's already hot! I'll be out in it mowing the lawn later, bummer!
Right now it's Steven Books First Pipe in an Ascorti Signature Full Bent Egg with black coffee.

    Happy Saturday Smoking,

I have a lot of work to do, but I'm having such a pleasant morning I'm finding an excuse to slack off a little longer.

Woke up a little before nine, had a shower and a nice shave, made breakfast (oatmeal with black currants and cinnamon and brown sugar) and some black coffee....now I'm finishing my coffee and smoking a bowl of C&D Odessa in the Luciano while watching Wimbledon. It's cool, grey, and occasionally rainy outside.

Today is the day! The "2013 I'm gonna kick Randy's butt Rib Show Down!" Or, thats what I call it anyway.
I am bringing The Rekamepip freehand and Rock:hbang:cob. The twin gentlemen, and Prairie Wind! Will be puffing and grilling all day and I hope to have some pictures later. Depending onn how many pics I get they will either be here or in their own thread.

    Happy smoking everybody!

Morning walk with Essence of Vermont in a MM Legend got cut short by unusually dense clouds of vampire bugs. Painter Hills in a Peterson Sherlock Holmes meerschaum accompanied by some 454 Horse Power coffee.
Hope that it dries out enough to get the lawn mowed today.

More of that wonderful Anni Kake in a cob. More tea in the mug. Think we just might get that 40 days rain in around here. Been cooler, tho, so less energy billed. No drought in Indiana this summer I'm sure. Not too bad a trade off I suppose.
