Evening all - very hot & humid here in the Shire. Gonna be hell sleeping.
FVF in a Falcon / Dublin Extra bowl might help.
Purchased a fresh tin of UniverSity Flake at the local-ish B&M this morning - been smoking it all day.

They changed the cut of the RR due to pathetic EU regulations to differentiate it to RYO tobacco - as if! There are certainly subtle differences and I much prefer the flake. Can't get it from the supermarkets over here now, so it's mail order or find one of the few remaining B&M's that are left. Lucky I found one a few miles away and picked up a pouch this morning.

Only two pipes during the Nats/Padres game. So I am slowing down. As expected, I popped open the tin of the latest Blue Note addition and smoked it in a cob. Then came MB Cherry Ambrosia in my Seville Ecume. WOW! I actually enjoyed the smoke! This is a pipe I bought in the90's and has never been one of my favorites. Likewise, the CA is not a favorite. Can't taste the cherry. But today I could and it tasted good. Not great, but good.

Hello there. Dunbar in a Squatch, waiting on dinner to cook. Nice rainy evening here in Birmingham. Got a concert webcast to watch in a little bit. Fun will be had, wine will be drunk. Have a good evening folks.

Smoking some fine Peretti's Cuban Mixture in a Falcon. They say its there oldest blend and has 7 different tobaccos in it, including a cigar leaf. I can't tell which kind but the whole blend remindes me of smoking a cigar. Burley is the main actor and at a slow sip you can note some of the supporting cast. It's pretty good. Lemonade to drink as I contemplate whats going on in my pipe.
