After 2 dismal smoking days I decided to experiment with the dried out tobacco I got in the $100 box lot. I cut up some Wessex Gold Brick and was going to stuff it in the Tsuge Tankard and at the last moment I grabbed the Black Rockin' Rock Cob and off we went.

Lit up as soon as I could at the walking grounds and folks if you don't own a rock cob just for the sheer enjoyment of smoking it you need one for those wicked humid days when tobacco refuses to burn right and for that tobacco you neglected and needs to be hydrated.

The humid conditions nearly hydrated the Wessex to perfection and by mid bowl it was perfect but the entire smoke was the best in the past two days. Thanks to Dust in the Wind I'm a happy person.

Have two appointments today and will sorely miss not having the SL500 for the drive to the VA since I don't smoke in the Crosstour but the weather is about to make a change shortly and will suffer through one more day. The only sultry I like is my women! :beck:

Second bowl of McCranie's McArrus in the PLip Cob, with the 4th cup of Maxwell House. Not sure what happened to the first bowl. Going good then it turned into white ash. Amazing how time flies when your having fun.

One night of adventure and you're marked for life!!! Can't try nuthin' new 'round here!!

At least the glass was chilled to the proper temperature. :p:

Thanks to FishnBanjo, I'm smoking Georgetown Tobacco Reverie in a smooth straight late 1970s Tinderbox Selected Grecian Briar Dublin. At least for the moment because I'm not far from being finished with this smoke. Thanks to Stormy, we had some bad ones in the middle of the night, and the loud sounds of thunder scared Suzy and Molly. Molly hid under the bed, and Suzy woke me up crying, so I spent a little time reassuring her every thing was okay. I know she appreciated that; Suzy purrs very loud when she's happy. She returned the favor by letting me sleep some.

I woke up to a serious phone call and would like to ask everybody for thoughts and prayers, and good vibes sent to Jedi's Mom. She had surgery a week ago and has been feeling great, but this morning she was suddenly struck with faintness and her abdomen is swelling rapidly, she was just admitted to the ER.

Escudo in a medium IMP meerschaum. Some combinations come in to their own when it's a little more humid. This is one of those.

Now, I'm smoking Dunbar in a slight bent late 1970's Caminetto 103 Business KS billiard with a fumed rim. These old Caminettos are good smokers. Does anyone remember the rare two headed bowl OomPaul they made in 1974? I recall they went for $2,500. That had to be the most expensive pipe of it's time.

In honor of that lemon-headed dBear, I'm drinking a properly chilled glass of Simply Lemonade! :p: I left out the floaty li'l ice bergs, too!!! :poke:

My best to MDaws. Hope all works out okay for everybody.
