Blue Danube in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.95) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega. This tobacco has a very nice tin aroma and the taste is growing on me. I can see this as a Ruffinogold smoke. Hey, I hear the bell ringing. The Saint Bernard is bringing me a bottle of Cheerwine. Properly chilled to the correct temperature? Of course it is! Good boy!

The remnants pouch slimness program proceeds apace. The second bowl is being burned off its waistline by the Tom Howard pot dog, a stern tobacco burning taskmaster.

Earlier I had a bit of MacBaren Navy Cavendish in my nice lil' Peterson Premier Bulldog (493) and just had some 1-Q in a SH Hopkins.

Pulled out a long neglected pipe because I needed a clencher while I work. Thanks to Marker, I'm smoking Royal Yacht in a 1982 black grain relief sandblasted three quarter bend W.O. Larsen Dublinish pipe. Elegantly stylish and a good smoker. This is the first time I've smoked something besides the VaPer Three Nuns on this pipe, which gives you an idea of how long it's been since I smoked it (probably three years ago).

Good evening. Telegraph Hill in a Northern Briars billiard.

I may just sell the rest of my tobacco and only keep Telegraph Hill from now on. I have rarely wanted to smoke anything else for the past month.

It's been pipe after pipe of Prairie Wind all day. Now a Sherlock Holmes meerschaum full of Princes Street is a nice change of pace.
Crushed ice over a meyer lemon teabag isn't hard to take either. Just sitting back with this pipe watching the teabag slowly send threads of colour up through the crushed ice, mindless. I'll leave it to DWaugh to explain why the tea colouring in the ice behaves the way it does

Dinner will be ready before long, but I'm starting the last of this sample of PH Special Curly Cut with added (by me) perique in a 2002 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Milverton. Thanks to Mount Mandolin for the trade. Good tobacco, but it's much better with perique. Lots of baseball games on, and I'll be listening to a few of them.
