Have you tried any crumble cake(s) in that pipe? Got a bent-dog (invicta) that smokes the stuff like a champ.

Thanks for the suggestion. This pipe is not in the same performance class as the IMPs I have, but then again it was just a relatively inexpensive "flyer".

Okay, now it's time for some serious cob smoking, so I'm breaking out the premium stuff, my Sir Walter Raleigh. :beck:

Well, I'm on to my fifth ever dry cured Italian style cigar, and the third brand I've tried today. Before today I'd had none, but hearing they weren't bad, I picked up a pack of Parodi Kings at the B&M today when I went to get some cleaners. I came home, had two, liked them so much I went to a carryout I knew had Avanti and got a pack of those to try. Loved them, too! Well, a few minutes ago I was out driving home and I stopped by a CVS - they always have lots of machine made cigars, so I thought I'd stop and see if they had anything else for me to try, so I picked up a pack of De Nobili Longs.

What a day! I can't believe how good these things are! They may look ugly as all get out, but they're really something else. I think I'm a quick convert. I'm ordering a full box of Parodis tomorrow most likely :thu2:

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. Ennerdale Flake in a straight carved Italian (can't make out the name) billiard chimney. Nice stack for this flake. I think it is now a dedicated pipe for this Lakeland gold.

HH Mature Virginia in a Brebbia 8311.

Funny how tastes change. I was crazy about this stuff a year ago. Now, I'm really bored by it. It's not as smoky flavored as I remembered. I think I'll stick the rest of this tin in the box pass. Someone else may be blown away by it.

Peterson's Gold Blend in a IMP large freehand meerschaum. Quite mild but not bland. Only four more of the Peterson tobaccos to go and I'll have smoked at least one tin of them all.
Nice big glass of lab distilled water that's been sitting in the fridge since I picked it up in town today. Does interesting things to the tastes of smoke.

Like the blend, nice body to it without being too overpowering. Nice evening smoke..
