    Good Afternoon,

Continuing to sample from Paul's treasure chest - Some 1979 McClelland Oriental #1, in a beautiful cross grained and bird's eyed Ser Jacopo La Fuma. If he had not labeled it, I never would have guessed it. I don't normally smoke this blend, as it presents rather timidly when fresh. At the ripe old age of 33 however, it's an entirely different creature. With the new, you get, if you search hard enough, and if the planets are aligned, a nice little oriental/virginia/latakia interplay, light on the latakia. This stuff has been reduced and melded into a completely unique flavor that I have never tasted. It's as if the virginias and latakia had been reduced sub atomically, and put back together in some freaky hybrid, with just a whiff of cool basma layered across the top. Completely unique, and wonderful, and a rare treat. Thanks again, Flatbush, you da man.

Started the day with SWR in a Gent and coffee chaser. Mid-morning a Diplomat filled with the "Bastard" (thanks again Johnny. This stuff really grows on me. Liking it better each smoke). Afternoon has been more SWR in the Gent. Getting ready to fire up the grill and cook some pork steaks. Thinking about some Pipers Pleasure or Bear Blend in a Sav, oh, why not, more SWR in the Gent with a cold Presidente beer chaser. Florida State lost last night. University of Florida plays tonight. 9 p.m. game (EST) well, maybe I will get to that Bear Blend afterall.

Mostly cigars today...Avanti with my espresso this morning, Parodi King this afternoon....then I had a bowl of Sweet Coconut Twist in the MM Legend, and that was awesome. Just finished a LFD Double Ligero Maduro robusto though...in for dish washing then back out for a De Nobili Long or another Parodi or a bowl of something. Hard to make up my mind.
