Navy Blend gets a Navy Photo!

Good Evening All! Just had some burgers grilled in the back & some lovely pasta salad. Going to sit on the back porch & load up my pot-shaped Comoy Tradition

with some C&D Black Frigate (of which I will be reviewing as I smoke it, stay tuned)

along with a glass of bug juice. Very much like what we'd have on the smoke deck of a ship. Coffee & bug juice. No beer, no grog. Wish there were more people like Admiral Vernon, maybe that tradition may have stuck around a while longer. Navy heritage & history for ya! Yep. Besides, kool-aid doesn't go too bad at all w. a pipe. It's cold, it's sweet. Compliments pretty well. Either that or I'm a hick, LOL!

Here's a photo of my submarine sailin' days pulling into the Sub Tender after being relieved by another boat in the gulf. The tender is at half-dress cuz we just shot missiles @ the taliban in retaliation for 9/11. We wanted beer, but they gave us a cake & ice cream reception instead. Horatio Nelson, John Paul Jones, & Heman Melville would turn over in their graves....:sailor: :laff: Nelson would say, stopping grog is like stopping Christmas, it's been a timeless & sacred tradition. John Paul Jones would say, Get this man out of here, he's bleeding on my gun-deck! More like, No ice cream on my gun deck! Melville would say, Who cares, just don't tell anyone I was on a whaling boat before I was on a frigate. :xd: If you're a squid, past or present, then you got the jokes. If you're not, but you've read enough yarns, then ya got it. If ya didn't, you've got some classics to read. :beck:

Notice the lower level, the 2 guys standing dressed in white? The cooks? Standing around doing nothing? There it is! Proof! LOL! Even if the rest of the crew of that tender were running around busy, they'd STILL be standing there! What is it w. cooks?!? :xd:

That meer's a thing of beauty. Love the way the stem complements the bowl coloring.

Irish Flake cradling Irish Oak in a medium IMP meerschaum. I wouldn't smoke this all day, but it's a very pleasant kick back and relax type smoke.

Spill i gave away a different blend of 7 oz. i didn't like the other day. This stuff isn't worth the weight in mailing it to someone. Just plain garbage. But maybe your right and someone will trade me Penzance or 10 Russians for it? Since everyone's taste for tobacco is different.
