Wanna keep ya on your toes!
Been in since '99 as well I was on an attack boat. Yeah, boomers are blue water for sure. They rigged the Florida to be an SSGN (converted the silos to shoot tomahwks). There's another, but can't remember which. That's kewl, was never on a boomer.
Ours was a different mission, LOL!!! We're dispersing to shoot some missiles. Just gonna wait til dark! As in 0'-Dark:30.
~That's Big Dog of the Red Sea Wolf Pack. This was in 2003 after we fired in anger during the Shock & Awe campaign in Iraq. We were weapons ready the fastest, and fired our first ordered salvo the fastest. (held the record @ 36 minutes from order to the pizza being out the door for delivery, lol) The Providence is nicknamed The Mighty "P", but she earned a new one during OIF. That's my girl!
Empty Vertical Launch Tubes after shooting @ the Taliban. When a sub fires all her ordinance, it's called going "Winchester". 12 vertical, 12-14 thru the torpedo tubes.
I'm the sailor 3rd from the left on the aft weather deck. You can see our rudder sticking out of the water if you look carefully The sailboat is the replica of John Paul Jones's 1st command at sea for the United States, The Continental Sloop Providence. (Our Namesake) She came up the river to render honors after our return from Enduring Freedom. We dipped our colors & sounded our horn. She fired a salute from her port-side battery. You can see the smoke just forward of her bow. Gave me a chubby! LOL!
Sterling/1776 Coachman's Blend in a MM Diplomat
Prairie Wind in a Peterson Canadian. 11C(52F) relative humidity has dropped to 55. Thought that I might notice a difference in this tobacco from when I smoked it earlier this morning, and there is, but I just can't come up with anything descriptive other than that there is a fullness to the taste.
Nice pipe, My Peterson African meer is one of my favorites.
F&K Lancer Slices in a Brebbia meer-lined Ebonite churchwarden...
I can relate a bit I guess .. when Clinton got in , I got the heck out pretty quick . They were sayin we had to go to sexual harrsment meetings .... I'm like... We're here to blow crap up and destroy things ... thats my mission . I never attended one of those type meetings .. and I didnt care if I didnt get logged for it . I told them for all I cared you can kick every woman sailor out .. then you wouldnt have to worry about all this wussy stuff
Anyway , Goin out the back door to the pool .. smoke some MB Scottish Flake in my Grabow
Bowl number 4 of Condor. Ice cold Pepsi kicker.
They were talking about putting women on submarines a few years ago. One of my chiefs said, well that's fine, they can put females on subs. If she's out of bed, she's out of her rate!
US in a Sav Capri. Yes, I do smoke regular
briars from time to time.
G. L. Pease Key Largo. ***See review!
Burning in a new Washington cob with some Middleton's Cherry Blend, great smoke in a fresh cob!

a thousand apologies
Ted's 1-11 (Cube cut burley, white burley, a variety of VA, latakia, mahallah, yenidje, and perique) in a Roma Prince/Author/Tomato doodad kinda thingy.
(if it's not too off topic...) I've never heard of mahallah or yenidje, are those the individual items that make up the category "orientals"?
Just tried out Stokkebye's Luxury Twist Flake for the first time. I'd heard it was a mild blend, but man, I could barely taste anything. I'm going to chalk that up to my bad allergies and give it another shot on a day where I can actually breathe through my nose.
Sweet Killarney in an anonymous Cyano-meerschaum.
Chick Magnet in a DG Royalton.
