Good morning all, Having some Van Cav and Black Cav mix in a Savinelli La Pipa 2009 and finishing off the pot of Maxwell House. It's good to be back to normal! A pic of the storm that hit us Thursday, said it was a Horizontal Tornado...
This was taken at the intersection of Rt601 and Rt29 in Concord.
After a 3 1/2 hour Phillies game last night (post game show ended at 1:30, I spelt in. Had two pipes of Irish Oak to go with my daily readings, along with a cup of Kusmi's Russian Morning tea. Great side for I.O. Oh, the Phils won.
Just finished giving the lively lump aka Levi a bath, then an outstanding smoke of shredded Salami in the Baginski Poker Chip Stack with Jamaican Blue Mountain in the Pusser's Rum Mug on the side. Now finishing said mug with a Potato Apple Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut! YUM
OMG, scary! Did you take this pic? Glad you're ok.
I may be wrong but I believe that was the shelf cloud that rolled over a large area as the cold air came over the hot air. It sure looks like rings of rotation there. Strange, beautiful and deadly. Like some woman we have known.
I was at work, about 2 miles away. The lights didn't even flicker! If I'd known this was happening, trust me, I'd have to go home to change my britches! Amazing thing is it just skipped across the ground, very little damage to homes, but played hell on trees and power lines! Haven't heard of a single injury! Mother Nature giving a wake up call.
Good Morning all. GE sipped from a cob and sipping on some good hot black tea.
Basil, it looks like that front is stalled out down around where you are for a bit. Be careful. Hope you don't have to use any high-waders.
Yea, me too. The creek right below the house (they call it a river, but if you can wade across it, it aint no damn river!) usually floods about once every other year, it's been 3 years now. But the sun is shining and hopefully Mother Nature is finished throwing her tantrum. I'd try sacrificing a virgin, but don't know any. Thanks
Telegraph Hill in a Ser Jacopo Maxima billiard.
Escudo just now in my Peterson's "Donegal Rocky" 999.
WooHoo indeed. Now I'm off to see who else won, congrats all!
Had half a bowl of Dunbar in the Capitello Vergin, when I decimated my collection only a few remained and this was one as I got it as NOS and have watched it transpire in coloration to what it is today a lovely deep tan beginning to turn a rich burgundy brown around the rim and a great smoker too, a deep dark rich and strong Cubita Cuban coffee on the side.
Telegraph Hill remains as my favorite VaPer. I am smoking from a batch from 2006 that is unreal right now.
Isn't it just a lovely treat when one finds a tobacco that just hits the notes you want then you age some and find it has aged better than you!
Woke to feed Suzy and Molly, who were in a great mood this morning. I went on this forum and thought the sky had fallen, the millennium had ended, the tax rates dropped, and all known diseases were cured because for the first time on my life, I actually won something. I never win anything! Yours truly, after stupidly passing on the POY 2013 and kicking myself every time I saw a pic of one posted, won the right to buy one on the second chance offer! As Mel Allen used to say, "How 'bout that?" It'll also be my first Kaywoodie!
Celebrating by smoking the current Three Nuns tinned version in a 2003 smooth full bend, gold banded 3 Star Ferndown Tudor Root. A celebratory glass of Simply Lemonade is my drink. Waiting for the Cubs-Mets game to start!
I am finding that there are alot of things that are aging better than I am!
Stonehaven in the African meer
