Last smoke before bed is MacBaren Plum Cake (thanks to FishnBanjo) in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer. Still drinking ice water.

Goooooood Mooooorrrning! If the clouds burn off, looks like it might be a nice day here in Central Maine. The kids are gone from school, so finishing out my last two weeks of rehabilitating the MacBooks they have partially (some fully) destroyed. Going in early now, so out at 2:30--plenty of day left to ride the bike and smoke some pipes.

Had a massive bowl of Sweet Killarney in the new/old London Made billiard with the morning black coffee. Thinking I'll probably have CH in the POY on the drive to work. Have a great day, all.

Suzy and Molly were crying to be fed, so I decided to smoke at least part of a bowl of Georgetown Tobacco Reverie (thanks FishnBanjo) in a smooth straight late 1970s Tinderbox Selected Grecian Briar Dublin. Went to the mailbox to send out my quarterly tax check. Big joy. Glory hallelujah. Hooray. In other words: !@#@!!@@**&%%$$!!!!!

Memo to moderators: we need a skull and crossbones icon.

Well, good luck to you two on that one.

I battled through an entire tub years ago and was unable to get a single outstanding smoke. And I'm not what you'd call a disgruntled smoker either: almost every blend out there has something positive you can say for it.

It was a bad batch, more than likely. It had the appearance of floor sweepings: multi-colored, but no variety of cuts, and flat and clingy in the electrostatic sense. Burned well, but that's about all one could say for it.

And the latakia was nowhere in evidence. Thank goodness.

    Mixture in a Sav 316 EX ...

    CH in my clay due
    to the humidity today.

    Even though I've never
    tried Middletons, I'd
    dare say that it wouldn't
    compare to the great
    British flake that is Ogden's.
    However, I've been wrong
    before. Just not that often.
