It's over 100degrees today so I'm in town doing laundry and buying a generator and a couple box fans.

What's that like, Berg? I've been thinking about trying it, but some days it just sounds off.
Today as we were finishing up for the week, the Man of the house came out with a big box and set it down. He told our ground guy that it was a surprise for us for doing such a good job so far. It was a case of Buffalo Trace Bourbon. One bottle for each of us. That was a hell of a nice surprise! We think it was really his way of saying, "Thanks for putting up with my wifes crazy ass." Because she really is a nightmare to work for. He has been nothing but nice though.
So tonight I am going to sit out on the back porch and try out this bourbon, (on the rocks with a splash of water) while I smoke something in the 2013 POY. Any suggestions? I am thinking Irish Oak might be very nice with it. Or perhaps a LNF or LBF
Good afternoon. Stonehaven in a Peterson. Haven't had Stonehaven in awhile, and it's picked up some more depth as it sat waiting for me. This is a great tobacco for aging; I'm excited to have a pound of it jarred up. Should be really terrific in a few years.
It puts hair where you don't need it. Prolly make you sell the hogs and buy BMW's. Yeah, it's that manly.
Working on another bowl of BBF in Peterson aran.
Spicy tobacco goes really well with buffalo trace. I love that bourbon. Don't water it down. It is very smooth neat.
Don't do rocks and a splash. Give it a couple cubes and stir it a little. You'll love it.
Edit to add: Not to sound like a bourbon snob, don't just use ice cubes from the ice maker either. Unless you have spring water in your well. I make ice with distilled water for whiskey.
How can you ask? Strang.
Ok, I'll try it that way, but I am not a whiskey connoisseur by any means. To me if someone asked me to describe the flavor of any whiskey, I would say it tastes like whiskey. I have heard that watering it down a bit helps the newb taste the subtle flavors better.
Yeah really, what was I thinking? Strang it will be.
Granddaughter just did the grilling of hamburgers out on charcoal fire
