Celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary (it's actually Monday).
Just finished a 14 oz NY Strip, off the grill, and a loaded baked potato.
Now sitting on the porch swing with my best pal Abby (my dog) enjoying a bowl of Proper English in the Falcon.
As I understand it, there is coconut cream pie and coffee for dessert later.
    Life is pretty good today.

Came home from work and grilled some chicken. Now I am finishing the LGF that I wasn't able to finish earlier and planning my next smoke.

    Good evening friends and fellows.
Last nights try of the buffalo trace/Strang combo was very nice. However, I should of went with my initial instinct and splashed a bit of water in my drink because the sips I enjoyed the most were the ones at the bottom with the melted ice (aka: water) Darned peer pressure, gets me every time. If all of my friends were jumping off of bridges, yeah, I'd probably give it a try.

Today I got to try another whiskey/pipe combo with Randy. It was Jim Beam Honey (and water) with LNF in the MM CG. So very good. Also I got Randy to fess up that his ribs were pre boiled before grilling. (which I already knew, but it was nice to get him to admit it.) Actually, he only half admitted it. Whenever I asked if he boiled them he said "No! I just soak them in apple juice for a while before throwing them on the grill." I asked if it was boiling apple juice, and he said "Well, yes."

Good to know, I can beat boiled meats any day of the week.

Good evening folks. After dinner smoke is HoC For Meerschaums Only - Reserve, in a Neerup. This stuff is expensive, so it's a special treat, but it's so good. Steven Books is a genius blender. Decent evening here in B'ham, 77˚F (25˚C), 69%RH, winds calm.

I've moved on to G&H Latakia in my meer-lined Grabow. Clear skies, and 78*F here this evening. Perfect pipe smoking weather.

Today I had some Anny Kake in a Peterson Dublin and later enjoyed some Bayou Morning Flake in a cob while walking my dogs.

Well, it ought to help that I'm smoking a CAO Gold Double Corona. Maybe some Strang later.
