Finally got around to trying my Navy Flake sample. Used it to christen my straight Washington from MM. Just seemed like the right pipe in my group to use. Was enjoying it quite nicely till I was rudely interrupted... Only managed about a quarter bowl. :(

Just got home from work. Stopped off and got the boss lady some neon colored daisies (she loves em) and a bottle of wine. Today is 6 years she's put up with my ass. Poor girl. She's making me drunken pork chops, homemade mashed potatoes, and sautéed squash and zucchini for dinner. Homemade key lime pie for dessert.

After all that awesomeness, I'm going to drink a Victory Hopdevil in one of my mustache glasses and smoke a cob full of rum flake/pirate Kake.

Happy birthday to Mark too! (Sorry it's so late, brother.)

Last for the day was Latakia Flake in the Boswell Churchwarden now for some Gingerale as I curl up with the latest from Khaled Hosseini (Kite Runner and A thousand splendid suns) latest And the mountains echoed. See you in 3-4 pages.......... when I will arise w/o having my precious!

Dammit David. Here I was thinking I'd smoke a pipe after dinner. Now a Tatuaje 7th Natural is calling my name.

A wonderful dinner is followed by a bowl of Full Virginia Flake in a much cherished smooth straight grain three quarter bend 1979 Becker M 4 heart brandy. Ice tea for a drink. Lots of baseball on tonight, as usual, and I'll be paying attention to a lot of it, including listening to Vin and the Dodgers.

Man, lots of people smoking FVF today...gotta say it treated me well, and I haven't been smoking as much Kendal Dark as normal lately, so I was surprised that this stuff started giving me a bit of nicotine! I think it's because I've been on a cigar kick lately.

Speaking up, that Tatuaje looks good...I haven't had a Tatuaje in a long time, it's a killer brand

Man , I just had the worst bowl of MB GE in my life .... I was rusticating a grabow pipe today and I must have gotten some stain in the bowl . At first I was thinking , man ... whats wrong with me .. lol .

After my meat sauce is done ... it'll be a bowl of Velvet from the 70's in a Tinderbox Meer lined Pot ! It is a great combo , like scary great ! I wish I would have smoked it back then but I didn't pick the pipe up till 79 ... this stuff is 71ish . Burley + Age = Better Burley . Richer , smoother , darker and more vitamins and minerals that assist the lungs in functioning

A treat for a nice evening here in NJ. Reiner's LGF from 2006 in a Dunhill Group 5 Tanshell Bulldog with fresh brewed Earl Grey ice tea. Ahhhh! Heaven.
