We're havin' a rainy day here in NJ so I'm gonna keep it simple, Uhle's #00 in a Sav Billiard with black coffee.
Just finishing a cob of SG Perfection, and about to light up a cob of PS Highland Whiskey
Massive T-storm line just went through the Blue Ridge foothills...and I survived!
Apparently more to come later today.
Plum Cake in the egg. Black coffee. Good morning boyos, it's Friday for me today.
Lucille!!! The Charlie Brown pipe has now undergone a color change by being given the torch I use for cooking heat treatment, it's now a near chocolate color, hopeful it will prevent further Borg transformation! Walkabout was fantastic and the Tsuge has hit the 250 smokes mark and will receive its first total dismantling and thorough cleaning, I doubt any other Tsuge Tankard has had this many smokes put through it and still smokes like a champ!
Mid afternoon here & the winter sun is slanting into my little (& I mean little) study. It's been a day of running errands & they're not over yet. Going to put a slab of steak on the BBQ later. Right now though it's FVF in a GBD.
Man someday you're the bug and others the windshield I can only surmise I'm going to get grief when the tobacco I am purchasing shows up, it's in the latest purchase forum. With shaking hands I'm filling up the Charlie Brown Borg with some Naked Anni and may need a stiff Cuban Coffee to settle me down!
Getting hot down here in Texas. No wind whatsoever just plain humid. Smoked a bowl of FMC in a mini bent standing outside by the a/c unit at work Already hearing the, " Hot enuff fer ya? " from people. The correct and polite response is, "Yup, you think it's hot now, wait till till next month." I want to tell them,"No dip@#*$. I love the heat. I wish it was hotter." Stay cool my friends!
Leo in the Legend earlier, HH Vintage Syrian in a T. Cristiano VSQ
All cleaned up, lightly reamed to bring the cake even with the cap and ready for 250 more smokes!
Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Louisiana Perique Flake in my Savinell 2614
My favorite tobacco in my favorite pipe. Penzance in a Peterson System Standard 303. As much as I love my other Pete (Donegal Rocky billiard) the System Standard just smokes much more dry. It feels perfect in the hand and always delivers a pleasant smoke.
First pipe of the day full of Perique Mixture and after a pretty cack morning too.
Just finished in the shop and enjoying some CH in my P-Lip cob with Maxwell House to cool things off a bit.
Yesterday afternoon, while watching the Cubs/Cin game at a watering hole, I heard they had already cancelled last night's White Sox. Knew that was bad news as the storm would then head to the Delaware Valley. So, in case this was my last night on earth to smoke, I had two bowls of Connoisseur's Choice, followed by Blue Note, CH and Mixture 965. Stopped watching the Phillies when they put the aptly named Bastardo in to pitch relief. The Twins were indeed relieved, as they beat as by a Bastardo given-up run.
Storm went through around 9am. Much rain, lightning and high winds. The first phase seems to have blown through, so we're getting a break in the action. I started the day late, with CH, then Irish Oak. Just finished MB Vanilla Cream. I think Mixture 965 is up to bat here in the 11am hour.
With a very pregnant wife and parrot with a delicate constitution in the house I'm smoking entirely outside right now. So, it's McClellans 5110 in a half bent bulldog in the muggy rain.
Walnut in a Willard!
McC 5110 in a cob. Pg tips to drink. Not much of a rain here sw of Indy. Seems it was all up north. Nice air with the cold front that pushed all that weather thru to the east. Dang it was humid last night! Glad everybody so far has made it thru.
