I wouldn't mind that at all. But in 2 days (and 12 tins of St Bruno later) it'll look like a Peterson Ebony.

Time for my favorite Bulldog (because it's the only one I own) - Dan's Hamborger Veermaster in a custom made Moretti.

Ideal geeignet fuer den Flakeraucher, oder?

One day I hope to get my hands on a Stanwell 95 (vintage "Made in Denmark"), rumored to be tops for flakes. Broad, shallow and conical seems to be the way to go.

    Das kann man wohl sagen!
Tiny bowl, full packed with 1.5 flakes - but the smoke lasts longer than in any other pipe I got. :th1:

Stanwell 95 ( Stanwell Flake Pfanne, like germans use to say) is on my list as well.

    Yeah right.
I can't stand it, warm beer, wet toilet paper and smart-azzes! At least with the Revor you can still get it. Pay through the nose but it's still being made. I'll definitely be looking into the PH Dark Strong though, thanks for the lead stumpy!

For the now it's SWR in a MM Legend washed down with a Guinness Extra Stout.

FMC in a Brebbia "hey we're Italian so instead of a bulldog you get a Neapolitan mastiff, fuggettabouwtit!"
followed by a sample of 4noggins "Owls Nest" in a cob, nice light English but not going to replace the standbys of FMOOT or EMP for that genre in my rotation.

2012 Christmas Cheer in an MM straight Legend. Doesn't seem to have as much spice to it as the 2010 did...

Uhle's #00 in a Northern Briars billiard that is still being broken in. Bought several pipes all at once, so I've been having to rotate breaking them in. Still, you'll not hear me complaining about the awful inconvenience of having to break in a Dunhill and a NB at the same time.

Sky is orange, it's 69˚F (21˚C), 51% RH, and the birds are chirping. Those little things are getting bolder and bolder. Spring is on its way.

Worked 8h at a local trade show today, my back is nearly immobilizing me,

Relighting the mornings bowl of Kickin Chicken is no joke! Perhaps snuff before this was not needed

I don't know. This lite no-name chimney from early '70's smokes any flake I put into it nice and slow and cool. If it heats up i can hold by the stem. Chimney or squat, as long as it gets the job done. Mine, I bet didn't cost over $10. at the time.

Mcbaren Seven Seas Gold in my Molina. I like both the Gold and Royal blends. There are three other blends in this line I want to try.

Another busy day out in the yard again ... not sure how I managed to stay awake long enough to catch up on this thread. Had my happy usual morning bowl of C&D Red Odessa this morning in the estate briar, and once work was done I was in a mood for some GLP Sextant, smoked in the MM 5th Ave Dip (first pipe within reach when the craving hit). Now it's time for a hot bath and then bed.
