Woke to feed the kittens and they were happy to eat Whiskas' Tuna Chunks. As Stormy smoked the last of the Angler's Dream sample I traded him, I'll smoke a bowl in his honor while I'm awake in a smooth 1998 Parker 489 three quarter bend Billiard. I'm nearly out of the Boswell's PB he sent me, which, along with the other blends I received from him, is very good. We both won with that trade.

Thanks, Rolf is a bamboo rod maker from Germany but he'll make 1/2 dozen or so pipes during the year to bring to trade shows, I was fortunate to get this one at Somerset NJ this year after losing out on one last year. It's a wonderful smoke and it was reasonably priced.

CH in a Mod Cob with Maxwell House to help wake me up. Dog sitting for my Mother-in-law that had back surgery yesterday (she's doing good). Now I have a Mini Dauschound? weiner dog! following me around where ever I go (she's asleep on my lap right now). Maybe if I could teach her how to fetch my coffee...hmmm.

I need a reason to re stock so I'm on a bit of a G&H DFS bender. (MM CG) No coffee today, in celebration of our first 10C temperature of the year I'm having a cool bottle of Rothaus Tannenzapfle. :bing:

Irish Flake this morning at 6:00 AM before reporting for my weekly duty, in the Peterson System pipe.

Yeah, Irish Flake in the morning. As one of my very favorite writers used to say, "I burn the candle at both ends, and it gives a lovely light."

Experimented a little bit last night with a bit of 2012 Christmas Cheer that I got from D-Pap.
Knowing that OGS is slightly spiced with orange bergamot, I took about 5 parts of Christmas Cheer and 1 part OGS, just basically a tiny amount and mixed them together fully rubbed out fine and smoked in an MM Legend. At char light the flavor is strange.
At mid bowl, it turns into a full on orange, cardamom, cinnamon spicy Christmas Cheer. It's great. Orange Christmas.

We're supposed to have up to 8 inches of snow by this evening.

First pipe for the month... I jarred up some Hamborger Veermaster this morning, so I decided to put a little aside & give it a try. The aromas from the bag were awesome & I was excited to find that this blend starts off quite sweet. Half way through a bowl in this UPCA Stanwell billiard now (Tsuge is up next) and the hay-like VA flavors are starting to dominate. I'm happy with my purchase, so thanks PSF!
