After lunch it was Tambo in the Pete meer, now it's Bracken Flake in a GBD Prehistoric.
Was up in Duluth, MN this weekend. Actually found a little B&M named "Butt's Smoke shop" that had a nice selection of dunhill and MacBaren. Bought some dunhill fake and MacB VA flake. However I had already opened some other tins so those will have to wait. All weekend it was Erinmore Flake, MacBaren Navy Flake and Troost special Cav. It was a fine weekend! Came home to a 4Noggins order and a Sterling/ 1776 tobacco order. Tried Old Dominion and Vermont Maple in a cob when I got back. I like them both. I've really been enjoying flakes lately but these were a fine smoke!
Just finished a briar with SP Black Cavendish in the bottom 2/3 topped with PS Proper English top 1/3. Now doing the same load in a MM Hardwood. Gets the spice of the Proper English and switches to the mild smooth Cavendish to finish up. Seems like the top dries out and toasts the bottom load and helps make a nice dry smoke to a fine ash finish.
Cardiff in a four digit KW. Smoking on the front porch as to avoid the crush of broads on the back one.
