Peter Heinrick's Special Curly (a gift from the jBerg) in a Guildhall.
How was the Rose???
I liked it, It is not too strong on the Latakia, but it still was good. I've only had two bowls so far, so I don't have a solid opinion.... I'm certainly not sorry I bought it. How's that for a non-answer?
Hows that for a non-reply?
LOL you like it, you just dont want to admit yet.
Man, that's what I call a nice evening. I love some gourmet summer sausage, smoked gouda cheese, a glass of pinot noir and a big fat bowl of Peter Heinrich's Special Curly. Be careful with that stuff... jp sent me a lump of it, and after my 3rd bowl, I went TAD crazy and bought a bunch of 200g tins.
Alas, my own evening has been much less special than David's. I had a bowl of Duhill Flake in a bent Neerup. As much as I like moist flakes, folded & stuffed, I've found GAF is much better for me, a little dried and rubbed out.
Sutliff Private Stock Charlemagne in LaRocca Due
Some well aged CAO Old Ironsides in a Dunhill Cumberland Chestnut Hungarian...
Tonight it's SG Chocolate Flake in the Peterson Aran 80s
SWR in a 81 royalduke.
C&D Burley Flake #3 in my Peterson Donegal 150.
About to try a hybrid blend of Frog Morton On The Town and GL Pease Robusto, maybe the latakia will help to mellow out the bite that the virginia tobacco seems to give off.
Dark Birdseye in a cob. Thank you Jammer!
This is my first bowl but I can see myself buying a bunch...a small bunch to start though....to start...
MacBaren Club Blend in a Peterson Irish Harp 80s. Would really like to sit back and call it a day but have to figure out plan for tomorrow. Got 1100.00 to http://www.aiwc.ca/ today.
Kendal Plug in a Jake Hackert cob. For my first smoke of this blend, I have found it to be simply awesome. Wonderfully clean flavor with a perfect amount of sweetness. I need to figure out how to prepare it better though. I dried it out good and rubbed it out but it was still fairly hard to light and keep lit good.
Mmmm....... Mmmm....... Good!
Merde De Cheval in 8-inch clay tavern
I agree with BB, amazing shot!
Earlier it was ERR (the real deal) in the
wind-capped Falcon. Now sipping on
some 12 year old Bruichladdich.
Got a great idea for making progress on the http://www.aiwc.ca/ work from dwaugh and dmkerr. Tried it out and now I'm kicking back and enjoying Irish Flake cradling Painter Hills in a medium IMP meerschaum. Talisker on the side.
At WyoBob's suggestion I tried some Orliks golden sliced bacci.
It smoked smooth and had a great flavor.
It also packed a Nicotine punch.
Since it came in sheet form I guessed that you had to break it up yourself, man I'm such a noob.
Dont know if it was the right way to do it, but it smoked ok.
