You're right! It was an interesting discovery... El Guero and I were sitting drinking coffee and smoking, and I was explaining to him how I smoke my Vauen with a filter and everything else without. As soon as I got home, I pulled the ol' pot apart to clean it and realized my ironic mistake - I had forgotten to put in the filter. The fact that it seemingly "smoked better" that day sealed the deal... I guess I am forced onto the filterless bandwagon! If they'll take me!

    Good Morning,

Beautiful, freaky shade of blue sky here this morning. Crisp, clear 44F air, and a beautiful sliver of moon. What a way to start a Friday.

Hey Jon, I cracked open the tin of Ten Russians and found it was in plug form. I didn't know that. I didn't have time to play with it this morning so I will look to try it over the weekend. Does it crumble or do ya have to slice it and rub it out?

Essence of Vermont in a Peterson Canadian 264. Black coffee smells good. +2C(35F) and the snow is just melting as it hits the ground.

What's it like in the Legend? Now that I have this tobacco in the condition that I like, I find that it does change quite a bit from pipe to pipe.

    Hi Paul,

It's a pretty dry blend, and crumbles nicely, it doesn't fall apart like Smoker's Haven Krumble Kake, but it's easy enough. Once you get familiar with it rubbed out, rip a hunk off and just jam it in your pipe ( put a lttle dust on top to get it going) - completely different smoking experience.
I hope you like it as much as I do!

Paul, as of yesterday, Pipestud had a tin red label TR for a reasonable price, you should buy it.
